Trying Tiktok Shop Best Selling Products - is ANYTHING worth buying?

Introduction

As summer rolls around, TikTok Shop is buzzing with various trendy products, and I couldn't resist the urge to dive in once again! After having a blast with the Most Wish-Listed items a few weeks back, my expectations were high. I set out to find some of the best-selling products on both TikTok and Amazon to see if they live up to the hype.

First Impression: Cleo Kill Cover Mesh Glow Cushion

I kicked things off with a product from Cleo, a well-known Korean brand. I chose the Cleo Kill Cover Mesh Glow Cushion with SPF, which promises a moisturizing, glass skin appearance. However, I was immediately disappointed by the limited shade selection – there were only three beige shades available. Despite my concerns, I went ahead with the shade "3 Linen." After opening the product, I noticed it comes with a refill, which is great value.

As I tested the cushion, it felt light with a mild scent, and while it provided a hint of coverage, it did little to conceal the redness on my nose. Overall, it didn't wow me as much as Cleo's lip products and eyeshadows. Maybe it requires perfect glass skin for a more radiant effect.

Summer Plans and Me Time

While waiting for the cushion to settle, I reflected on some summer plans. We recently took the family to Florida, and though nothing crazy is planned for the summer, I am excited about our upcoming trip to a cottage and continuing my horseback riding hobby. It’s a much-needed break after focusing on the kids for so long. I encourage you to share your hobbies or plans in the comments below!

Hair Accessories from TikTok

Next up, I browsed hair accessories trending on TikTok. I found a cute bow clip that caught my eye. It looked adorable but I was curious how it would fare in my fine hair. Unfortunately, the clip didn’t impress me – it felt unstable and looked imbalanced. I also tried two different hair elastics targeted at those with thicker hair, but they failed to create a flattering ponytail on my hair type.

Dresses for Summer

Moving on, I tested a simple summer dress that looked promising. Unfortunately, while the fit was comfortable, it wasn’t very flattering on me. My next item was a top, resembling styles from Kylie Jenner's clothing line. Its design was cute but made me question if it would be appropriate for my age.

Skincare Gadget: Nurse Jamie's Cryo Mini Massaging Orb

I also ventured into skincare tools with Nurse Jamie's Super Cryo Mini Massaging Orb. This massaging gadget can be used warm or cold to enhance skin quality. While it felt nice, I preferred my laser and vibrating device for its multifaceted benefits. This tool may be better suited for muscle relaxation than skincare.

A Fun DIY Project: Lit-Up Book Nook

Finally, I embarked on an assembly project – a lit-up book nook kit for my daughter, who loves to read. The kit included many parts, which made assembly a bit daunting; however, I appreciated the clear instructions. After a challenging setup, I made progress, but wiring for the lighting proved difficult, leading to a few frustrations. Despite setbacks, I remain hopeful it’ll turn out beautifully once completed.
