VLOGMAS WEEK 3: New year plans, Car shopping and trying to book a last minute Christmas dinner

Introduction

Good morning and happy Sunday! Welcome to Vlogmas week three. I'm starting my day with a morning shake and a walk with my dog. Today, I plan to wrap some presents as I haven't been able to do so yet and honestly can’t even remember what I've bought!

After bringing down all my Christmas presents, I discovered I might be missing a bag. I attempted to connect my Spotify to my Google speaker, but after upgrading to a family account, it stopped working. After a bit of troubleshooting, I realized I may need my brother's tech assistance, so I'll be using my phone for music in the meantime.

I've wrapped four gifts so far, but sitting on the floor is killing my back! I might have to clear off my table to wrap more comfortably. I also have an interview scheduled tomorrow over the phone, which is perhaps a blessing—or a curse—since I wouldn't have to worry about the nerves that come with face-to-face meetings.

Later in the evening, after my brother fixed the speaker issue, I attempted to create tags for the presents. I used some red and black tags I had left over from Etsy but decided to simply write the names instead of stamping them as I wasn’t happy with how they turned out. The glitter from the wrapping paper made quite a mess, and I ended the night chatting with my neighbor, feeling nostalgic about a trip I took to New York a decade ago.

Fast forward to Monday, and it’s already the 16th of December. I'm in shock about how quickly this year has passed. I have another interview to prepare for and some more job applications to submit. I'm also sorting out a last-minute Christmas dinner and feel somewhat relieved that I was able to book a table for two at a local pub.

By Tuesday, I received some rejections regarding job applications, but I am staying positive! I decided to register with temp agencies and focus on the Christmas dinner planning. It's becoming more apparent how much I've been craving social interactions and how much I want to return to work.

On Wednesday, I had an appointment for my washing machine repair, but I spent all day waiting and ultimately had to call again to find out that no one was coming. However, I did manage to book a grooming appointment for my dog and started feeling a bit more festive despite having no updates from job interviews.

As the week progressed, I tried to declutter my home. I remembered the importance of a clean space for my mind and soul. With New Year's quickly approaching, I've started thinking about my plans not only for the holiday but also for how I can make changes in my life next year. Inspired by a YouTube creator who focuses on minimalism, I'm excited to take on this project.

Returning to business as usual on Friday, I tried to get my nails done but had to rush between appointments and errands. Luckily, by the end of the day, I had them taken off and feel much lighter now.

To close out the week on Saturday, I spent a slow day pampering myself and preparing for the week ahead. I plan to watch a holiday film while pondering my minimalism project that I hope to take on in the coming weeks.

This week has been a mix of unexpected twists, from last-minute dinner bookings to job applications and decluttering thoughts. I’m looking forward to how things unfold next week during what will be my final Vlogmas entry!
