anime shopping in nyc: figures, blind bags, manga w/@TacoFlacko

Introduction

Hey everyone! Today, I’m excited to share my recent adventure with my internet best friend Taco Flacko during his trip to New York City for Anime NYC. We spent the day exploring various anime stores, discovering rare figures, and collecting awesome merch. Let’s dive into our journey!

Meeting Taco Flacko

Taco Flacko is a popular TikToker known for his anime shopping content, and it was amazing to finally meet him in person. We kicked off our day at his hotel and immediately started filming some TikToks, showcasing various anime products and surprises. Even before shopping, we were thrilled with our finds, including some incredible windbreakers and plushies from our mystery boxes.

Delicious Buns in Queens

Our first food stop was in Queens, where Taco treated me to some delicious pork and vegetable buns. They were delicious and gave us the energy we needed for our shopping spree.

Uba House Adventure

Next, we headed to Uba House, where I discovered an impressive Ocean no Co display and some cool windbreaker merch. To our surprise, the store owner approached us and offered $ 100 credit to spend, which was a super kind gesture! We picked up a variety of items, making for a successful shopping experience.

Project K and Anime Castle Shopping

After Uba House, we made our way to Project K, where I found (and decided to buy) exciting Blue Lock figures and some intriguing Slam Dunk figures packed in shoe boxes. Taco enjoyed exploring too, especially the JoJo figures.

We ended up at Excellent, where I introduced Taco to various Ichibans and exciting mystery prizes, including a cool Naruto figure and some other collectible items. We snagged various merchandise, including mystery boxes for series like Episode Nagi and Kaju Number Eight.

Kino and More Collectibles

A visit to Kino was on our agenda, where I picked up some enticing volumes from the highly anticipated Sakamoto Days series. I even found some rare Peach Girl editions, which are tough to locate!

As the day went on, we accumulated a large haul of figures, plushes, and manga volumes. Taco gifted me some amazing items too, like a cool Gojo figure and delicious snacks.

Finale of the Day

Our anime shopping trip was filled with laughter, new finds, and a deeper appreciation for our favorite anime and characters. Taco and I enjoyed every moment, creating countless TikToks and sharing our excitement. As Anime NYC is just around the corner, we’re looking forward to even more epic finds and experiences together!
