TikTok Announces Partnership with Trust and Safety Professional Association

Today, TikTok announced a partnership with the Trust and Safety Professional Association (TSPA) to provide all trust and safety professionals at TikTok with a membership to TSPA. This membership will grant them access to resources for career development, participation in workshops and events, and the opportunity to connect with peers in the industry.

The TikTok Trust and Safety team plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and welcoming platform for our global community. They are responsible for developing and enforcing our Community Guidelines to ensure that users can express their creativity and have fun without encountering content that violates our policies. These professionals face the challenge of staying ahead of evolving violative content and making fair and consistent policy and moderation decisions.

To support our employees in facing these difficult challenges, we strive to create an engaging and supportive work environment. Providing access to well-being and resiliency programs is essential. We want our employees to feel comfortable and safe while creating, sharing, and discovering on TikTok.

Cormac Keenan, Head of Trust & Safety at TikTok, emphasizes the importance of supporting trust and safety professionals and expresses excitement about the partnership with TSPA. This collaboration will enable our employees to continue growing in their careers and share best practices with others in the industry.

TikTok's commitment to the careers and well-being of our trust and safety employees is further demonstrated through our support of TSPA. This partnership will not only benefit our employees but also enhance the TikTok community by helping us improve our approach to keeping people safe.
