Congratulations to the nominees for the 65th annual GRAMMY Awards!
Congratulations to the nominees for the 65th annual GRAMMY Awards!
This year's group of talented artists has impressed us, especially those who gained popularity on TikTok before topping the charts worldwide. It's exciting to see these artists, who started on TikTok and used the platform to express their authenticity, achieve success in the music industry.
One standout artist is Steve Lacy, whose breakout hit 'Bad Habit' generated over 705K creations on TikTok before reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This song has been nominated for Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year. Another notable nominee is GAYLE, whose song 'ABCDEFU' originated from a TikTok comment and has earned a nomination in the Song Of The Year category.
The Best New Artist category is filled with breakout stars who kick-started their careers on TikTok, including Måneskin, Muni Long, Omar Apollo, and Anitta. Anitta's song 'Envolver' helped her become the second-ever Brazilian woman to be nominated for a Grammy.
The nominees in genre-specific categories also showcase the trendsetting nature of our TikTok community. HitKidd & GloRilla's TikTok-fueled hit 'F.N.F. (Let's Go)' has been nominated for Best Rap Song, and Nija Charles, a beloved creator and songwriter, has been recognized in the Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical category.
Not only are we celebrating the nominated songs and artists, but TikTok itself has been nominated alongside Rosalía in the Best Music Film category for the innovative MOTOMAMI TikTok LIVE performance. This avant-garde broadcast, filmed entirely on mobile phones, featured full-scale performances of 14 songs from MOTOMAMI.
Congratulations again to all the nominees! You are an inspiration to artists and creators everywhere, and we wish you the best of luck at the GRAMMY Awards this weekend.
