Inside TikTok's ad account dashboard, you'll find an option called "Events." Under this, you can choose either "App Events" for mobile apps (Android, iOS, Microsoft) or "Web Events" for websites. Since our focus is on websites, we'll select "Web Events."

Creating TikTok Pixel

Click on "Create Pixel" and name your TikTok Pixel according to your store or website. You can connect it either manually or automatically. The manual method is detailed below:

  1. Choose Manual Method:

    • Click on "Manually Install Pixel Code."
    • You can either use the "Events Builder" or "Custom Code." For simplicity, use the Events Builder.
    • Copy the pixel code provided.

  2. For WordPress:

    • Install the "Insert Headers and Footers" plugin.
    • Navigate to the plugin settings and paste the TikTok pixel code in the header section.
    • Save the changes.

  3. For Shopify:

    • Go to the "Online Store" and select "Themes."
    • Click on "Edit Code" and then open the "theme.liquid" file.
    • Paste the pixel code just before the closing </head> tag.
