Pocket Pixel - How to Catch Pokémon with Fewer Poké Balls & How to evolve, Star-up Charizard

Introduction

Hello everyone, I'm NDL Gamer, and today I'm back with the game Pocket Pixel. In this article, I'll guide you on how to catch Pokémon efficiently while saving Poké Balls, potentially allowing you to catch many of them with just one Poké Ball. Additionally, I will explain how to star up Charizard, as many of you have been asking about it.

Efficient Pokémon Catching Techniques

To catch Pokémon using fewer Poké Balls, you'll want to have a Pokémon capable of inducing sleep and another that knows the move False Swipe. I’ve discovered that Leni can help with this. Although Leni itself doesn’t have these skills, its second evolution has a sleep-inducing ability. You’ll need to evolve Leni from its first stage to its final stage to gain access to this ability.

The sleep-inducing move has only a 55% accuracy, so it’s essential to use a Pokémon like Furret to buff its accuracy or another Pokémon to lower the opponent’s evasion. The False Swipe attack ensures that the opposing Pokémon is left with just 1 HP, making it easier to catch them.

Finding Leni

Besides Leni, there are two other Pokémon that have False Swipe. You can purchase one in the shop and find the other on the Mount Silver map.

To get Leavanny, you’ll need to catch its first-stage Pokémon. Here's a detailed guide on how to catch it:

  1. Place Butterfree in the first position to easily defeat any Pokémon you aren’t interested in.
  2. If you encounter a Pokémon you like that isn’t Grass-type, use Sleep Powder first, then switch to Furret.
  3. Use Furret to buff its accuracy. I recommend buffing it three levels to increase the chance of putting the opponent to sleep.
  4. Next, use Grass Whistle to induce sleep, followed by False Swipe. If your Pokémon is still too weak, use Swords Dance first to enhance its damage before executing False Swipe.

With these steps, you should be able to catch Pokémon using just one Poké Ball!

Tips on Using Moves

The Grass Whistle skill can put even Grass-type Pokémon to sleep. However, it won't work on Pokémon with the Soundproof ability. Typically, wild Pokémon lack abilities, so you can use this method confidently for now. There’s no information yet on whether wild Pokémon will gain abilities in future updates.

How to Evolve and Star-Up Charizard

To start up Charizard, first, you need to know where to catch Charmander, as there isn’t a location to catch Charizard directly. Head to this specific spot at night to find Charmander, along with two other Gen One starters: Venusaur and Blastoise.

After catching Charmander, you must level it up by five levels to evolve into Charmeleon. To star it up, you'll need to catch four more Charmanders, evolve them, and release them. Only after completing this can you star up and eventually evolve into Charizard.

Alternative Catching Methods

If you don’t have False Swipe and your Pokémon is too strong, you can use weather effects to gradually lower the opponent’s HP. This method might still require some Poké Balls, but it will reduce the number you need and allow for quicker catches.
