Pocket Pixel - Instructions for building pokemon Escavalier Shiny, EV, IV, Held, Move,..

Introduction

Welcome back to my channel, everyone! I'm ndl gamer, and today we're diving into the new shiny Pokémon Escavalier added to the Pocket Pixel shop. When I first started the game, I encountered Escavalier, but since it was just an epic Pokémon, I didn't purchase it. However, after reviewing its stats and skills again, I realized it's a phenomenal choice, prompting me to buy it and create a detailed guide for you.

Shiny Escavalier Overview

I chose not to buy the shards since I know where to catch this Pokémon. You can evolve it from Cara Blast, and the evolution conditions are quite manageable compared to others like Butterfree. You merely need to reach level 15 and achieve two stars to evolve, which means fewer candies are required.

Dual Typing

Escavalier boasts a dual Bug and Steel typing, one of the top defensive combinations. This critter has only one major weakness: it takes 4x damage from fire-type moves. However, it’s resilient against seven other types, receiving half damage from them, dealing only a quarter from grass-type moves, and is entirely immune to poison-type moves. At present, only seven Pokémon share this unique typing.

Stats and Skills

Escavalier features high physical attack and solid defensive stats but is rather slow, boasting a speed of just 22. Its HP is decent, comparable to Volcanion, making its defensive capabilities impressive and easier to star up.

Here's a look at its robust skill set:

  • Swords Dance: Boosts your attack by +2, serving as a powerful setup move.
  • Fell Stinger: Has a base power of 50; if it knocks out an opponent, it grants a +3 attack boost—perfect for sweeping.
  • X-Scissor: Your main damage-dealing move with base power of 80.
  • Reversal: Gains higher damage the lower your HP is, making it a great comeback option.

Alternatively, you can swap Reversal for Giga Impact, which excels against fire types. However, do note that you’ll lose a turn afterward.

Abilities

Escavalier can adopt the ability of either Swarm or Shell Armor:

  1. Swarm: Activates when HP drops below 33%, boosting bug-type moves by 50%.
  2. Shell Armor: Protects against critical hits, significantly enhancing survivability.

Choose according to your preferred playstyle—offensive with Swarm or defensive with Shell Armor.

EVs and IVs

To maximize damage output, maximize attack, distributing remaining EVs between defense and special defense for balanced bulk or invest entirely in HP for higher survivability. Focus IVs on attack, HP, defense, and special defense, leaving speed and special attack as lower priorities.

Nature

Opt for an Adamant (+Attack, -Special Attack) nature since Escavalier doesn’t utilize special moves.

Held Items

Consider these held items for Escavalier:

  1. Leftovers: Enhance survivability and time for setup.
  2. Silver Powder: Boost bug-type moves by 20%, making X-Scissor and Fell Stinger hit harder.
  3. Muscle Band: Increases the power of all physical moves, providing a rounded damage boost.

Choose the item based on your strategy—whether you prefer sustainability or maximum damage output.

Battle Strategy

  1. Start with Swords Dance to boost your attack by +2.
  2. Follow up with X-Scissor as your main damage-dealing move.
  3. Finish with Fell Stinger when you're sure of knocking out your opponent.

Adjustments for Effectiveness

Since X-Scissor, as a bug-type move, is resisted by many Pokémon, consider replacing it with Iron Head (Steel-type) for better coverage. This creates an offensive spread covering Bug, Steel, and either Fighting (Reversal) or Normal (Giga Impact), enhancing your versatility.

Low HP Strategy

When your HP is low, switch to Reversal since its power escalates with decreasing HP.
