Tesco Scotland | UK Family grocery haul | Saturday 2nd November :)

Introduction

Hello folks! Happy Saturday to you all! It’s lovely to see you again, and I hope you’re all doing well. Thanks for tuning in to check out this week’s family food shop haul. We decided to head back to Tesco once more as it tends to be the easiest option for us. While I do enjoy shopping at Aldi, I often find I need to stop by Tesco anyway, and sometimes the butcher as well. This way, I can get most of what I need in one trip.

This week, I spent just over £62, and for those interested, here’s the receipt:

Starting from the beginning of the haul, here’s what I picked up:

  • Milk and a salad bag: This salad bag has everything needed for a quick Caesar salad, which I sometimes like to augment with chicken for a quick lunch or dinner.
  • Lurpak rolls and kitchen rolls: I’ve been getting these XXL kitchen rolls as they are really absorbent.
  • Chicken breast mini fillets: I opted for these smaller fillets since I was getting a bit tired of the larger ones.
  • A couple of salmon fillets: Perfect for a quick dinner, I like to serve them with grains, rice, or broccoli for a nutritious meal.
  • Bananas: As always, I'm amazed by the value of bananas; they should cost more than they do!
  • Alternative brand of baguettes: I don't eat these, but Mr. Watsford says they taste just as good as the branded version, and at a quarter of the price.
  • Ham: Great for sandwiches or rolls.
  • A bigger pack of tender stem broccoli: I think I'll roast this in the oven.
  • A bag of onions: I seem to go through onions much quicker than expected!
  • Microwave basmati rice: I still have a few in the cupboard, but it’s always good to stock up to avoid running out.
  • Salad cheese: They didn’t have feta, but this cheese should work well as a substitute.
  • A sweet potato for haggis, neeps, and tatties.
  • A couple of cans of soup: Pea and ham, and lentil and bacon; I might combine these two as their flavors are similar.
  • Blueberries: Perfect for breakfast with yogurt and honey.
  • A cheap garlic baguette: At 37p, you can’t go wrong!
  • Haggis: Great for the haggis, neeps, and tatties dish, and I know this brand is tasty.
  • A couple of packs of pasta and sauce: Just to stock up what I already have – perfect for a quick lunch or dinner when you’re not very hungry.
  • Snacks: I picked up some skinny whipped bars and rice krispy bars—both delicious alternatives.
  • New crispy bacon crisps: I think this is a new flavor I haven't seen before.
  • Cayenne pepper: I haven’t used it as much lately, but I do enjoy its flavor.
  • Cooking salt: Essential for boiling or seasoning potatoes and veggies.
  • Two large pots of natural 0% fat yogurt.
  • Finally, Mr. Watsford's motorbike magazine: He loves reading about motorbikes!

Also, I grabbed a sandwich from the café upstairs while enjoying my coffee afterwards. It was a turkey salad sandwich for £4.50, and it was delightful!

Thank you all for watching, and a huge thank you to my supporters on Patreon, channel members, and everyone who shares and comments on my videos. Have a fantastic week ahead, and I’ll see you tomorrow for our meals of the week. Take care!
