New Feature Announcement: Manage Interactions on TikTok

TikTok is excited to introduce a new feature that will make it easier for creators to manage interactions with their content on the platform. Creators invest their time and effort into creating and entertaining on TikTok, and receiving unkind comments can be disheartening. To address this, TikTok is now allowing users to delete multiple comments at once or report them for potentially violating the Community Guidelines. Additionally, users can block accounts that post bullying or negative comments in bulk.

To manage interactions on a video, users can long-press on a comment or tap the pencil icon in the upper left corner to access a window of options. With this update, users can now select up to 100 comments or accounts at once, making it more seamless to delete or report multiple comments or block users in bulk.

This new feature is initially rolling out in select markets today and will be available globally in the coming weeks. It builds upon TikTok's ongoing efforts to create a kind and welcoming community. In recent updates, TikTok has introduced the ability for creators to filter comments, giving them control over which comments appear on their content. TikTok also prompts users to reconsider posting unkind comments and has implemented additional safeguards for users aged 13-17 to ensure an age-appropriate experience.

In addition to developing tools to combat bullying, TikTok is committed to educating teens and families about bullying prevention. They have launched a bullying prevention guide on their Safety Center, providing resources for families to identify and counter bullying, as well as support for victims and bystanders. The goal is to create a more welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone on TikTok by eliminating bullying behavior.
