TikTok Celebrates Pride Month with LGBTQ+ Trailblazers and Special Events

TikTok celebrates Pride Month with a global rallying cry: Free to be. This month, we want everyone to feel empowered and free to be themselves. We introduce the LGBTQ+ TikTok Trailblazers, creators who are leading the way in digital entertainment and embracing self-pride. These Trailblazers are making a positive impact on TikTok and in their communities.

Throughout the month, get to know these Trailblazers as they share their personal stories. Antoni Bumba is an iconic content creator known for their diverse TikTok niches. Bryce Xavier is a music creator and actor who recently released a single about same-sex love. Luca and Cooper Coyle are drag queens who use their platform to educate and showcase the power of drag. Geronimo Louie is an indigenous person who brings indigenous issues to light. Jayde Mcfarlane is a trans woman of color who shares her life with confidence and humor. Jesse Sulli is a transgender father raising his daughter and advocating for diverse families. Kenneth Pabon embraces his beliefs and style, inspiring others to be themselves. Lisa Brezinski and Pope create inclusive content and provide a safe space for all. Chaya Milchtein educates about the automotive industry and promotes inclusivity. Jere Chang teaches and shares her life as a mother in the LGBTQ+ community. RJ Chumbley and Adrian Patterson push the boundaries of masculinity and femininity in makeup and fashion. Sedona Prince advocates for change in the LGBTQ+ community and women's sports. Seth Sanker is a photographer and fashion content creator who believes fashion has no gender. Spencer West is a gay disabled motivational speaker and activist. Alex Renee creates LGBTQ+ content and raises awareness for Cytomegalovirus.

TikTok will celebrate Pride Month with special musical performances and community-building events on TikTok LIVE. The Thrive with Pride Concert, in partnership with LA Pride, will feature Charli XCX and other LGBTQ+ talent. The first-ever global TikTok Pride March will be a fundraising event hosted by countries around the world.

TikTok will also launch new creative effects throughout the month to celebrate and share stories of the LGBTQ+ community. These effects include Rainbow Hair, Rainbow Curtain, Rainbow Trail, Pride Lighting, Pride Time Warp, Pride Rainbow Cheeks, Pride 3D Lashes, Pride Glittery, and Pride Flag Sky AR.

Creating a welcoming and supportive experience for everyone is a priority for TikTok. Hateful and anti-LGBTQ+ content or accounts that bully or harass people will be removed. TikTok provides tools to report comments and block accounts. Prompts are introduced to encourage kindness in the community. TikTok is committed to developing equitable policies and listening to the community and experts.

TikTok is donating $500K to organizations that support the LGBTQ+ community, including GLAAD, It Gets Better Project, The Trevor Project, True Colors United, and Born This Way Foundation. TikTok believes in creating opportunities for people to share content and build a stronger community. TikTok aims to promote inclusivity and be an online destination for all people and voices. ❤️
