Spotlight on @iconiccpinkk: A Black TikTok Trailblazer

At TikTok, we believe in the importance of authenticity and empowering creators to share interesting content with their communities every day. Our Creator Spotlight Series showcases some of the top talent on our platform, highlighting amazing creatives. Today, we are putting the spotlight on @iconiccpinkk, a lively creator and Black TikTok Trailblazer who uses family-friendly comedy skits and prank videos to showcase her Muslim culture. Alongside her sister, they noticed a lack of representation of Black Hijabi women in the creator industry and decided to create fun content about family life and their experiences wearing a Hijab. Their well-known "Don't Leave Me Challenge" videos have gained popularity. Join us on Saturday, March 27 at 7pm ET / 4pm PT for the Muslim Women's Day LIVE stream with @MuslimGirl to learn more about her journey on TikTok, her favorite video, and what inspires her to participate in top trends.

We asked @iconiccpinkk about her TikTok journey and her first video. She started creating videos after her little sister introduced her to TikTok. Her first video was a funny duet where she acted like her hijab was stuck while a girl was swinging on a hammock, causing the girl to fall down. This video received over 20 million views and motivated her to continue posting on TikTok.

When asked why TikTok is the right platform for her content and why she continues to create and share on TikTok, @iconiccpinkk mentioned that TikTok allows her to reach a large audience of like-minded individuals and she finds it incredibly fun to make TikTok videos.

Her favorite TikTok video to date is called "The Hijabi Power Rangers," where she and her sisters dress up as Power Rangers. She had a lot of fun creating this video.

Being a part of the TikTok community and doing what she loves is what lights a fire in @iconiccpinkk. She finds it inspiring to receive messages from girls who say that she has motivated them to post their first video and pursue their dreams.

For new creators, @iconiccpinkk advises them to be their authentic selves and create content they are proud of.

To @iconiccpinkk, being a Trailblazer means a lot. When she first started posting on TikTok, she noticed a lack of Black Muslim women in the app. Today, she receives numerous messages from girls who say that she has inspired them to post their first video and follow their dreams, which makes her very happy.

One Black icon who inspires @iconiccpinkk the most is Rihanna. She admires Rihanna for being a philanthropist, an entrepreneur, and a Black music icon all at once, which she finds amazing.
