Introducing Beta Version of Platform Research API

Earlier this year, we announced the development of research APIs as part of our commitment to transparency in our platform operations. We have actively engaged with researchers, academics, and civil society to gather insights and feedback on this initiative. Now, we are excited to introduce a beta version of our platform research API.

To ensure the effectiveness and usability of our API, we have invited members of our Content and Safety Advisory Councils, who possess expertise in areas such as misinformation, violent extremism, hateful behavior, and emerging technologies, to test an early version of the API. During this testing phase, they will have access to public data and provide valuable feedback on the user experience.

We are dedicated to incorporating feedback from testers and creating an API that meets the needs of the scientific community while respecting the privacy of our users. In addition to the platform research API, we are also developing a content moderation API. More details on its availability will be shared in the coming months, and our Transparency Center will provide information on how researchers can apply for access to these APIs.
