NOT VLOGMAS BUT ITS A VLOG : JOIN US FOR DATE NIGHT IN DALLAS | DEEP QUESTIONS & VIBES | Nikki O

Introduction

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another date night! Tonight, we’re headed to Nick and Sam's, and as always, we're matching in warm brown outfits. This was completely intentional—you know us!

As we make our way to the restaurant, I’m keeping the lights low in the car because I don’t want to risk a distracted-driving ticket! Although, I heard it's technically legal to drive with the lights on inside the car; perhaps our parents just told us it was illegal to keep us from doing it?

We’re really excited to dine at Nick and Sam’s! I'll update you once we’re there. Hopefully, they don’t mind us filming this time around. The last restaurant we tried to record was a bit chaotic, and I might not even post that one because the lighting was terrible.

Tonight is also special because it’s almost my birthday—celebrating all month long! We have some international plans too, but I won’t spoil the surprise; you'll see that in upcoming vlogs.

Alright, we’ve arrived at Nick and Sam’s! This venue has a unique vibe, filled with art for sale on the walls, which was created by the owner of the art gallery that runs the restaurant. Our server, Nincy, is incredible. It’s impressive how she carries our enormous crab dish with ease—this crab was large enough to be a meal in itself!

Despite a rocky start with some seating confusion, I feel like we’re in for a good night. The environment is bustling but festive—a bit overwhelming though!

After enjoying drinks and complimentary caviar, our server describes the menu, highlighting the various steak options. The highlights include a 48-ounce double cut Porterhouse and a Wagyu steak—each priced spectacularly!

The food starts arriving, and wow—the flavors are rich and superior to what you’d usually find in common dining options. From the creamy corn to the delicious mac and cheese, every side is to die for!

As we dine, I aim to build a deeper connection with Chris by engaging him with some fun date night questions that act as conversation starters.

I ask Chris about some of our happiest memories together, and we reflect on our wedding day and the joy of our kids’ births. He mentions a memorable time before we had kids when life was just simple, and how that made him appreciate our bond more.

As the night continues and dessert arrives—a birthday treat with everyone singing—we soak in the flavors of the banana cream cheesecake.

Wrapping up, Chris rates Nick and Sam’s a solid 8.5 to 9—definitely a place we’d return to. It’s been an amazing evening, reminding us of the importance of our date nights together.
