i Tried tiktok organic dropshipping for 7 days
Introduction
Welcome back to day three of my 7-day challenge, where I dive into the world of TikTok organic dropshipping. Today, I'm here to share my experiences and insights so far. If you checked out my last video, you might remember me cooking some fresh broccoli. I documented the process, including boiling the broccoli until I could enjoy its healthy aroma filling my space.
In case anyone is wondering, I'm based in Australia and using my Australian iPhone 11 with a U.S. SIM card. This setup allows me to target audiences in the U.S. on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. However, it's been an uphill battle, as my recent TikTok video only garnered 200 views, leaving me feeling a bit discouraged. While I’ve focused on creating engaging content, my TikTok account seems to be lacking engagement, which can be disheartening, especially when I'm trying to document this journey authentically.
Currently, my TikTok account has seven videos posted. The stats are not pretty: the first video has 800 views and 8 likes, while the others range from 200 to 300 views with minimal interaction. It’s a tough reality—sometimes products just don’t pop off, no matter how much effort you put in. I'm also conscious of time constraints as I try to produce content daily while still focusing on the product I intended to showcase.
Throughout this challenge, I've been feeling a bit stretched, and I would love to get your thoughts on whether you think it’s worth pursuing this challenge for the full seven days. Your comments and likes would really help me gauge your appreciation for this content.
This morning, while scrolling through Instagram Reels, I came across content that resonated with my niche and thought I could make something interesting from it. I tried incorporating a bit of controversy into my video. I staged a scenario of a kid packing for school, where I placed a pizza slice directly into my bag, unwrapped. This was meant to pique interest. However, when I checked the video’s performance, it had only three views, proving that engaging content is still an uphill climb.
I’m now gearing up to post my latest video where I tried a strong hook: “I’m a teen addict, and today I’m ready to stop and try something healthier instead.” I created a fun concept surrounding these nifty straws designed to help strain out vitamins and minerals from vegetables, and I made sure to highlight their portability. I have high hopes that this video will capture viewer attention better and encourage comments.
That’s the reality of dropshipping—things don’t always go as planned, even if you believe you're improving. I feel more optimistic about this latest video, hoping it draws in more engagement and captures the eye of viewers.
