this is how i made 10k in Q4 as a beginner (branded dropshipping)

Introduction

In this article, I'm excited to share my journey as a beginner in the world of e-commerce and specifically branded dropshipping. Many of you have reached out asking how I made money and how to get started, so I'm here to break down my experience in a clear and straightforward manner. This discussion covers my earnings over the entire Q4, focusing on how I approached the process, the mistakes I made, and the lessons I learned along the way.

Overview of My Earnings

During Q4 of 2024, I managed to generate approximately $ 10,000 in revenue through my dropshipping ventures. A significant portion of my revenue came from meme coins, which I admittedly invested in during that period, even though I later recognized that it wasn't the best decision for my financial situation. Nevertheless, I focused on building two main stores during this quarter.

  1. First Store: I generated around $ 8,300 in sales. The holiday season played a substantial role in boosting my sales.
  2. Second Store: Despite facing some challenges and having to rebrand, this store brought in about $ 1,300.

When combined, my total revenue for Q4 was around $ 9,600. Interestingly, the day after Q4 ended, I made an additional $ 500, pushing my total closer to the mark of $ 10,000.

Getting Started

The first step in my journey involved discovering product ideas through an ad library called PP Ads. This platform provides insights into trending advertisements across various platforms, including Facebook and TikTok. I utilized PP Ads to identify a successful product, developed a website, and then began running ads, primarily focusing on TikTok.

Testing and Scaling Ads

Initially, I tested ads using the ABO (Ad Set Budget Optimization) strategy but found that CBO (Campaign Budget Optimization) worked better for scaling my successful ads. After identifying a winning ad, I set increased budget allocations to drive more sales. However, my journey wasn’t entirely smooth; I faced numerous issues, including my ad accounts getting banned.

So, I pivoted to using Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram), which proved much more consistent.

Finding the Right Products

For my second product, I turned to C Data to do extensive research and find high-ticket items (products priced at $ 40 or more). High-ticket products typically yield better profit margins, which is essential in building a sustainable dropshipping business.

When evaluating products, I prioritized those that solve a problem. For example, a book on wealth generation delivers value, while a simple tank top does not. Problem-solving products tend to have a more extensive market and consistent demand.

Building an Attractive Store

Ensuring that the online store was visually appealing was key to a high conversion rate. I aimed for a minimum conversion rate of 2-3%, with an ultimate goal of reaching higher rates as the store continued to gain traction. I also learned the importance of securing reliable suppliers. A good supplier can ensure your products are fulfilled promptly, helping to avoid chargebacks and dissatisfied customers.

Conclusion

Reflecting on Q4, I realized how much I had grown as a beginner. The journey was filled with ups and downs, and while I didn’t reach my goal of making $ 10K in a single month, the aggregate for the quarter was a significant milestone in my e-commerce journey. I embraced the learning phase and recognized that success requires continuous testing and optimization.

I am determined to keep exploring, scaling my stores, and expanding my knowledge of dropshipping. Remember, the e-commerce landscape is constantly evolving, and persistence, alongside the right strategies, can lead to success.
