I Tried TikTok Dropshipping With $0 For 30 Days (IT WORKED!)
Introduction
On October 19th, I embarked on a 30-day Dropshipping challenge starting with zero dollars. We’ve all seen the success stories of individuals making thousands or even millions through Dropshipping. In this article, I’ll share my journey in detail, covering how I found my winning product, set up my store, generated traffic, and ultimately, how much I made. You’ll also discover my strategies for free organic TikTok marketing. This post is a step-by-step guide on how to potentially earn thousands without any initial investment.
Finding the Winning Product
The first and most crucial step in Dropshipping is selecting the right product. It’s more significant than your website or advertisements. If the product itself doesn't catch attention, your efforts can fail regardless of how well you set everything else up. Therefore, I invested time in researching products that had good profit margins and provided solutions to real problems.
To identify a winning product, I scoured TikTok, specifically using the hashtag #AmazonFinds, spending hours watching various content until I found a product with high demand and low supply. The key indicator for me was the number of comments asking where to buy the product—this clearly indicated demand.
Setting Up the Store
After selecting the product, I immediately turned to Shopify to create my store. Since I was using AliExpress for fulfillment, I avoided their low-quality images and instead sourced high-resolution photos from Amazon. Given my $ 0 budget, it was essential for my website to appear flawless, as this was my sole chance to attract customers organically.
I focused on creating a simple, professional-looking one-product store. I highlighted a limited-time 10% discount to encourage urgency. Additional elements that helped build credibility included:
- Free worldwide shipping
- Safe checkout symbols
- Imported reviews
- A transparent product description explaining what was included and how it solves a problem
- A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section
- A 30-day money-back guarantee
To keep things visually appealing, I limited my color scheme to three (black, white, and another color).
Essential Shopify Apps
To maximize sales, I identified a couple of essential Shopify apps:
Multi-Currency Converter: This is crucial if you plan to sell globally. It adjusts the currency for customers based on their location.
SMS Bump: This app automates text messages to customers based on their behavior on the site, helping to recover abandoned carts and prompting purchases. It significantly boosts sales, with improvements up to 50% reported.
Tracking Progress
Now, let’s dive into the results over the course of the 30 days.

- Day 1: Posted two TikToks, zero sales.
- Day 2: Still zero sales; felt discouraged.
- Day 3-4: A lull continued with no sales.
- Day 5: Finally, I made my first sale, earning $ 59.
- Day 6: Another $ 59 sale brought my total to $ 118.
- Day 7: Three more sales resulted in $ 177 in revenue. Total for the week: $ 295.
