I Tried Shopify Dropshipping With NO MONEY For 1 Week

Introduction

Introduction

For the next 7 days, I'm going to build a brand new Shopify Drop Shipping Store and bring it from $ 0 to $ 10,000 using no money. The best part is that I'm going to share the entire process with you. So if you want to see exactly how I take this store from $ 0 to $ 10,000, stick around until the end of this article.

Day 1: Finding a Product

On the first day, I focused on finding a good product to sell using a tool called USA Drop's winning product section. USA Drop is a drop shipping supplier that lists products with high sales potential. Within minutes, I found a multifunctional neck massager priced at $ 7.56 that I could resell for $ 23, making over $ 15 profit on each sale.

Additionally, I searched for other products in the same niche to act as upsells. I discovered a silicone finger gripper, which would complement the neck massager and potentially increase profits per customer.

Day 1: Building the Shopify Store

Next, I built my Shopify store using a free 3-month trial, ensuring I spent no money. I set up a clean, functional website, complete with product images, descriptions, reviews, and upsell options.

Day 2: Website Tour & Mobile View

On the second day, the store was fully set up. Although it looked better on mobile, here’s a quick walkthrough of the desktop version:

  • Product images and title.
  • Reviews and essential descriptions.
  • Pricing strategy showing original price at $ 40, on sale for $ 23.
  • Payment options, including Shop Pay for purchases over $ 50.
  • Color variations and upsell options.
  • Product information, shipping returns, action videos, and positive reviews.

Marketing Strategy

To market the store, I utilized TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Instead of creating original content (due to time constraints), I reused existing TikTok videos of the product, crediting the creators. I used SnapTik to download TikTok videos without a watermark.

On TikTok, I employed a strategy that involved creating a new account and posting viral-worthy content in the first hour to utilize TikTok's algorithm favor for new accounts. I aimed for consistent posting to maintain visibility and interaction.

Posting Strategy

I posted 3-5 times per day on each platform. For TikTok, I aimed to post viral content during a new account’s initial opportunity window to garner attention, gather followers, and add the Shopify link once reaching 1,000 followers.

Day 7: Results

After 7 days, I was surprised by the results. Here are the social media performance highlights:

TikTok Performance

  • Account: my.pro
  • 1,152 followers, 15,000 likes, 3% engagement.
  • Successful viral videos hitting over 15,000 views.
  • Key video hit 63.4K views, translating into significant sales.

Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts sadly did not perform as well, each getting minimal views.

Financial Performance

  • Total Sales: $ 1,659.07
  • Major factors:
    • Viral TikTok videos
    • High-demand product
    • High profit margins
    • Effective use of upsell products

Profit Calculation

  • PayPal transfer fees: $ 30
  • Product costs: $ 457.92 Net profit amounted to roughly $ 1,171 after expenses, which exceeded my expectations.

Conclusion

While I didn’t hit the $ 10,000 goal, making close to $ 1,200 in one week with no upfront investment is remarkable. If I reinvested these earnings into ads or inventory, scaling up revenue further would be feasible. It’s proof that consistent, strategic TikTok marketing can drive substantial sales for a Shopify Dropshipping store.
