I Tried Shopify Dropshipping For 7 Days (Realistic Results)

Introduction

Hey everyone! Welcome back to a new video. Today, we're diving into a 7-Day Dropshipping challenge. This video has been heavily requested and it's been a while since I last did one. Hopefully, you'll find this enjoyable as we attempt to find a product, set up a store, run ads, and see if we can make some money all within seven days. If you're new to the channel, don't forget to like and subscribe. Also, follow me on Instagram at Eon Marco.

If you're starting a new Shopify store, there's a link for a 30-day trial for $ 1 in the description below. Additionally, if you want to learn dropshipping directly from me and get results like some of my past students who have done over $ 300K to $ 400K in a month, there's a link where you can apply for mentorship. Let's dive into this challenge and see what the first steps are.

Day 1: Finding the Product

To find a product, we're using AutoDS, an all-in-one dropshipping tool that handles everything from product research to order fulfillment. Unfortunately, technical difficulties delayed us, but we continued the next day. Using AutoDS, I explored their handpicked products section and adspy tool.

After around 20 minutes of scrolling, I found an interesting product: a neck pillow ideal for travelers. It's the travel season, so this product should do well. The pillow is sold for $ 39 on competitor websites and sourced for $ 11.9 on AliExpress. Margins look great, so we're going with this product.

Next, we used my AI Store Builder to set up the store in about five minutes. Followed by using Launch Ads to create three TikTok ad variations for the product.

Day 2: Making Adjustments

We received the ads and set up the store. The homepage now showcases the product prominently, and the product page was edited for clarity and detail. After uploading the ads to TikTok, we launched our first round of ads with a $ 20 daily budget, split across three ad groups. Unfortunately, only one sale came through, so we started off $ 33.32 in the red but hopeful.

Day 3: Continuing Efforts

Though no sales came in on the second day, we decided to refine our approach by switching to a CBO campaign. This strategy helped optimize our spend and clicks, driving down cost-per-click.

Day 4: Optimizing the Product Page

The CBO campaign yielded three sales on the third day, moving us closer to profitability. To further improve, we optimized the product page using Page Pilot, an AI tool for creating high-converting pages, resulting in better aesthetics and functionality.

Day 5: Scaling Up

The fourth day was better! We saw the conversion rate increase and raised the daily ad budget slightly. This led to a higher number of sales.

Day 6: Mixed Results

The fifth day saw improved metrics with more sales. However, when we tried to scale the budget further on the sixth day, results were mixed, and profits dipped slightly.

Day 7: Wrapping Up

On the final day, we scaled the budget back down to $ 225. The reduced budget resulted in consistent performance and profitability. In total, we made $ 316.60 in profit over the seven days.

Conclusion

This challenge showcased the potential and difficulties of dropshipping. While we were not massively profitable, we managed to break even and even turn a modest profit within a week. This experience underscores the importance of continuous optimization and adaptation in dropshipping.
