How I Made $2761 With Dropshipping in 7 Days
How I Made $ 1,430 With Dropshipping in 7 Days
I've created several dropshipping videos showing how I've made thousands of dollars, but this time I wanted to see how much money I could make within one week of starting from scratch. I didn't have a store for my chosen product, but I was ready to build one. Before diving in, I decided to make this more interesting by giving away the dropshipping store and part of the profits from my other stores to one of the viewers. Watch the entire video to find out how you can qualify for the giveaway.
Day 1: Finding a Winning Product
My main goal on day one was to find a summer-themed winning product. I opted not to use any product research tools but instead utilized a TikTok burner account that I'd tailored to show only dropshipping products. I looked for products that solved a problem and had a "wow" factor.
After extensive scrolling and eliminating several options, I settled on the smart water bottle—a practical and visually appealing product, especially for summer. I validated my choice using ShopHunter.io, which allowed me to check the performance of other stores selling the same product. The data confirmed an uptrend in sales, justifying my choice. Besides product validations, ShopHunter.io also has features like a Facebook ad spy tool, which offers insights into competitors' marketing strategies. I recommend trying out ShopHunter.io; a free trial link is included in the video description.
Building the Store
Instead of building a store from scratch on Shopify, which can be time-consuming, I used StartStores.com, a service that creates customized Shopify stores quickly. Since time was limited, I ordered a one-product store from them. Within two days, the store was ready and looked fantastic. I made a few minor tweaks to better align it with my vision, but overall, the store was perfect. Creating Ad Creatives
For marketing, I needed compelling ad creatives. I found various clips of the smart water bottle on TikTok, downloaded them using SnapTik, and edited them together in CapCut. Adding my own touch, I ensured the ads were original and not direct copies of existing ones. I created three ad creatives in total, ready to be pushed out.
Running TikTok Ads
I chose TikTok as my primary advertising platform and created a new campaign with a budget of $ 500 per day. Setting it up this way helped the TikTok algorithm target the right audience. Although the first day was slow, the algorithm gradually found the best targets.
By day two, sales picked up significantly, resulting in 16 sales by the end of the day. Encouraged by the results, I scaled up the campaign by creating additional ad creatives and increasing the budget on the successful ones. Day three and four saw consistent sales, and even on day five, we continued to make sales until mid-day when I paused the ads.
Results
In total, I made 95 sales, generating $ 4,750 in revenue. After accounting for expenses—$ 1 for the Shopify trial, $ 2,800 for ads, and $ 520 for product and shipping costs—the net profit came to $ 1,430.
