Dropshipping for a Year Challenge: "Focus Up" | Day 6

Hey everyone! I know I've been slacking a bit lately with my content, so I'm switching up my setup to keep things simple and get back into a groove. Today, I want to share some updates about my dropshipping journey and the challenges I'm currently facing.

Recent Challenges

To be honest, the store has been experiencing some significant issues lately. I recently received a digital millennium copyright act (DMCA) notice encapsulated in an email asking me to remove certain images from my website. They claimed that these images were not my property, and failure to comply could result in a lawsuit. With that information, I had no choice but to take those images down to avoid any legal trouble.

In my quest for replacements, I managed to find some images on Amazon that I could use without running into copyright issues. If these images pass muster there, I'm confident they’ll work for my store as well.

Focusing on Marketing

After addressing the image issue, I turned off my ad campaign temporarily and then relaunched it with a slightly higher budget of $ 50. It was at $ 45 originally, so this is a minor bump. However, I've noticed that many others in my server community are experiencing similar problems with their ads consuming their budgets without yielding significant results.

Despite the concerns from others, my cost-per-click (CPC) and click-through rate (CTR) look decent. I received a few add-to-carts, but surprisingly, there have been zero sales to report so far. Here's the plan: I'm considering running the ads for another day or two to assess if things improve. If not, I’ll shift my focus to finding new products to promote.

Honestly, I’m getting fed up with just playing around with little budgets of $ 40 or $ 50 a day. My goal is to start spending like $ 300 a day! I know it may not be the wise option to risk such a large amount, but I believe you have to spend money to make money. If my ads perform well and I find some winning products, I’ll be prepared to increase the budget significantly.

Adjustments Moving Forward

I may not dive headfirst into that $ 300 right away; instead, I might consider duplicating my campaigns horizontally to reach a broader audience and see what resonates best. The current income level of $ 1,000 a week is not acceptable, as I'm aiming for $ 1,000 a day, but I understand that good things take time.

Thank you for sticking with me during this process. I’m aware that I’ve been looking away from the lens and not straight into the camera. I’m working on having a casual setup that allows me to create and share more content without feeling overwhelmed, enabling me to pump these videos out daily.
