14 DAY TIKTOK ORGANIC DROPSHIPPING CHALLENGE
14 DAY TIKTOK ORGANIC DROPSHIPPING CHALLENGE
Before we get into the 14-day challenge, I need to make a quick note: things really started to get exciting after day 14. Day 15 is when everything blew up. I’ll include some screenshots of numbers and success here. Day 14 itself wasn't thrilling - pretty boring, not much happened. Day 15, though, is where everything turned around. Let me know if you want a detailed story on that since things keep going up, and I’m currently viral on TikTok.
Background
First off, this is my ninth product, and it’s the best one I’ve ever run and has made me the most money. The previous eight products all flopped. I’ve been doing TikTok organic dropshipping for about five to six months prior to starting this challenge.
Product Research
For product research, I used the TikTok burner method. I scrolled on TikTok for a couple of days and found a product that only one other person seemed to be running on the app. As soon as I saw it, I jumped on it and made the website right away. The product wasn’t even available on Amazon, so I ordered it from eBay, which took about a week and a half. I copied the competitor's ads, made them a little cheaper, and offered free shipping and bundles.
The Challenge
On the first day of advertising, I got 13k views on one video and around 600-700 views on the other two. I got my first sale within 24 hours from just 17 sessions, which is unusually low for dropshipping. By day three, I wasn’t going viral yet and was testing out different hashtags and times to post. By days four and five, even though I was posting three to five times a day on two TikTok accounts, nothing much happened. One of my videos did get 6k views in 15 minutes on day five, but it was the only one.
By day six, my videos got a couple thousand views each. I had realized that my offer and ads needed something different. However, on days eight through ten, nothing changed - no views and no significant sales.
Turning Point
Day eleven was the turning point. I posted a video on day ten and woke up to 30k views on day eleven. I decided to change my offer to “free plus shipping”, which immediately started gaining traction. I made a mistake by not making the product available outside the US initially, resulting in only one purchase despite having thousands of website sessions. I corrected this, and sales started rolling in.
By day twelve, I ended with 11 sales, making about $ 150 in profit because of the “free plus shipping” offer and more engaging advertisements. Day thirteen and fourteen saw a decrease in views and sales. However, my ads continued to bring in some traffic.
Summary
Overall, in the 14-day challenge, I had one significantly successful day but learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t. The grand total of profit made in the two weeks was $ 200, which isn’t much but is part of the learning curve.
