In this article, I’m excited to share my journey of how long it really takes to make $ 1,000 in profit through dropshipping. My mission involved building a brand-new online store, identifying a winning product, and creating effective advertising campaigns. So, let's dive into the process and reveal how it all unfolded.

Finding a Winning Product

With limited time, I kicked off my challenge by planning the steps I needed to take. The first major task was to find a product that would sell well in the current market. Instead of turning to pricey product research tools, I decided to employ the TikTok burnout method. By interacting with videos tagged with hashtags like #AmazonFinds and #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt, I scoured the platform for potential products.

Although many products pop up due to their popularity, I dug deeper to find a unique offering. I spent a couple of hours reviewing various options, filtering them based on their unique wow factor and problem-solving potential. To validate my choice further, I turned to ShopHunter.io, which provides insights into sales figures of competing dropshipping stores. This data showed me an upward trend for a specific product I was considering, indicating market demand.

The product I ultimately landed on was a reflective football, leveraging its distinct appeal, especially in Europe due to a significant event. With my product chosen, it was time to build my online store.

Building My Shopify Store

Utilizing Shopify, I capitalized on an attractive three-month trial for only $ 1. I chose one of my favorite themes, the beauty theme. This theme has a high conversion rate and offers a clean, professional appearance.

I focused on a minimalist design, using no more than three colors to avoid a cluttered, scam-like look. As I created the homepage and product page, I ensured that reviews could be imported easily, giving my store a trustworthy appearance.

Upon completing my store, I was pleased with the result, especially considering the limited time I had to build it.

Creating Ad Creatives

With my store set up, the next step was crafting ad creatives. Again, I turned to TikTok for inspiration, compiling useful footage of my product. After editing the video clips using CapCut, I created several appealing ad creatives.

I decided to run my ads through TikTok, as it has proven effective for me in the past. I set up a broad campaign leveraging the TikTok algorithm to target audiences effectively. I allocated an $ 800 ad budget along with compelling calls to action like, "Get Yours Now!"

Soon, I submitted my ads and went to bed, hoping for some good news the next morning.

Sales and Success

Upon waking, I discovered that I had made eight sales overnight. Though initially slow, sales began to roll in gradually. After a long night, I was thrilled to find that I had completed 72 sales, amounting to $ 2,160 in just 32 hours!

After deducting costs for ads and the product, my total profit reached approximately $ 1,120. This experience proved to be immensely rewarding, and I plan to keep this store running.
