$0-$1k TikTok Organic Dropshipping Challenge (Pt.1)

$ 0-$ 1k TikTok Organic Dropshipping Challenge (Pt.1)

Over the past couple of months, I've been drop shipping like crazy. I made some money at the start, but then I ended up losing it all. I did this all with TikTok ads, but now I'm going to try making $ 1,000 in profit with TikTok organic, and I'm going to do this before I go back to school. I go back to school on September 5th. It's August 7th right now, and I'm going into 11th grade. If I don't make things work out now, I'm going to have to go to college, which I don't want to do.

I'm just going to assume that you know what dropshipping is, but TikTok organic is a dropshipping strategy where instead of paying for ads through TikTok or Facebook, you make videos to post on TikTok and Instagram, in hopes that they will go viral and get you tons of money. So first off, I have to find me a winning product. To find me a winning product, I've decided to do the TikTok burner method.

This method is just for you to optimize your For You page on TikTok to become a gold mine for finding winning products. To do this, you just look up things like "TikTok made me buy it" or "Amazon finds," and then like and comment on a bunch of those posts to make TikTok think that you like that type of content. Eventually, if you do that for a couple of hours, TikTok will just keep showing you products on your For You page.

So that's exactly what I did, and I just scrolled and scrolled. A couple of hours go by, and I saved a couple of products that I thought could be winners. There was one product that I got absolutely hyped for – you'll see why in a second. But I pasted all these products' links in ShopHunter to see if the stores were getting sales, and honestly, for the amount of views that these guys were getting, most of them weren't getting as many sales as I thought they would.

But the product that I was really excited for had only one person dropshipping it on TikTok, and it was blowing up. This person started posting videos for this product two days ago, and they're already at like $ 5,000 in sales.

This product was a basketball that supposedly doesn't make noise when you dribble it, and for the people that want to practice their handles indoors but couldn't because their parents weren't letting them dribble, this product would allow them to do that. I got so excited for this because I caught it blowing up before everyone else did and before it was saturated.

So I went to go order it on Amazon to start shooting videos for it, but apparently, it's a new product on Amazon, and the shipping times were so long – like it was saying I wasn't going to get this product for two weeks even though I had Amazon Prime. But I bought it. This was about a week ago, so I should be getting it soon.

I could see myself making really good videos for this product because I'm not going to lie, my handles are pretty good. So obviously, I can't film videos now because I don't have the product yet – I'm still waiting for it to get to my house. But what I can do is make the website. This I already know how to do because over the past couple of months, I've made over 30 websites for 30 different products.

It's the next day, and I got some good news. First of all, I got a new mic and I finished the website. From all the websites that I've made in the past, what seems to work best is just keeping it simple and professional.

The thing that I did differently for this website is I made it very kid-friendly, and the words that I chose to use in the description are at a kindergarten reading level because the people that are going to be on my website are most likely going to be all kids. A 25-year-old isn't going to want some silent basketball.

But yeah, the product's still not here, so I didn't really know what to do while waiting. So last night, after I finished making the website, I set up some TikTok ads to go live at midnight. So today, the ads were running all day, and guess how many sales I got? Zero. But whatever, that's not even part of the challenge – I was just curious.

Oh yeah, Shopify released like the best thing ever. I've been waiting for this for so long. They finally released the one-page checkouts, so when customers are checking out on your website, they don't have to click buy now, put in their contact and shipping information, press proceed to shipping, then click their shipping method, then click proceed to payment, and then put in all their payment information.

So now it's all on one page. All they have to do is click buy now, put in all their information, and they're done.

I would make the TikTok page now for the product, but I feel like – by the way, I've tried TikTok organic a couple of times before – but I feel like the videos do better right away when you make the account and then post videos right after making the account. I don't know if you guys tried TikTok organic and you could relate.

So I was trying to decide if I should just buy the thousand followers or if I should just try to get it on my own. I'm going to make an Instagram account too, obviously, and post the videos there. But I don't know, I feel like it's sketchy, like it's going to hurt the algorithm or something. I feel like TikTok's just not going to put my videos out to anyone because I bought followers.

I know people have succeeded with that before, but like most of the people that I know that have succeeded with TikTok organic don't buy followers. Final decision: I'm just going to put my website link in the bio and then let them take that out in their browser.

And I'm not going to buy followers. Obviously, I haven't made any money yet because I don't have the product. Hopefully, it gets here soon because I'm trying to make that cash. I will make $ 1,000 in profit by the end of this challenge, so stay tuned for the next video.
