This TikTok Ad Strategy Made Me $179,000 In 30 Days

Introduction

Hey guys, it’s me, Aaron Grant, back again with another YouTube video. I'm excited to be here and share free value with all of you. In today’s video, I'm going to present an in-depth breakdown of TikTok ads. Many of you requested in my last video that you'd prefer to see a hands-on guide on setting up a campaign, rather than just explanations. So today, as promised, I’ll walk you through creating TikTok ad campaigns step-by-step in the ads manager.

Introduction to TikTok Ads

For those unfamiliar with setting up a TikTok ads account or the TikTok ads manager, I've previously created a beginner-friendly video explaining the basics. I'll link that video for you to check out. Make sure to follow that guide before diving into campaign creation.

Entering the TikTok Ads Manager

Let's dive right into the Ads Manager. Firstly, select "Custom Mode." Once done, you'll be redirected to a new page. Choose "Website Conversions" because we're aiming to drive sales. Name your campaign, opt for Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO), and set a daily budget of $ 50.

Setting Up Your Pixel

Before running ads, you need to set up your TikTok pixel. The pixel tracks your data, helping you target the best consumers. Follow TikTok’s simple steps to set up your pixel. Once done, set the optimization event to "Complete Payment."

Placement Settings

Choose either "Automatic Placement" or "Select Placement." For Select Placement, ensure you only include TikTok and search results. I've noticed varying results, so test both options to find out what works for you.

Advanced Settings

In Advanced Settings, manage user comments. Allowing comments can either positively or negatively impact your campaign. If you enable comments, monitor them constantly to avoid negative impacts on metrics. Otherwise, disable comments. Also, turn off "Video Download" and keep "Video Sharing" on.

Targeting Settings

Use broad targeting: United States, all genders, ages 18 to 55+. The TikTok algorithm is strong and can identify the best audience for your ads, unlike Facebook ads, where manual targeting was necessary.

Budget and Schedule

Set ads to run at midnight the next day (00:00:00). This ensures a full day of running ads. Leave the other settings default for now.

Creating Effective Ads

The Importance of Creatives

Good creatives are key to a successful ad campaign. Many people make the mistake of using stolen or mediocre content. Instead, invest in quality creatives. I recommend using Viral Ecom Ads for getting optimized TikTok creatives.

Ordering from Viral Ecom Ads

Viral Ecom ads provide high-quality TikTok-specific ads, enhancing your campaign performance. Use discount code (available in the video description) to get a 15% discount on your order. The process is straightforward: choose the number of ads, fill out order details, and let them handle the rest. Ads are delivered within 24 hours.

Setting Up Creatives in Ads Manager

Turning on "Smart Creative Ads" allows TikTok to mix and match captions. Upload multiple creatives (I recommend five to six). Add compelling captions, which can be written using tools like ChatGPT. Examples include "50% off today only" or "You need this product today." Use dynamic call-to-actions to let TikTok optimize them for you. Enter your product page URL, ensuring users are directed straight to your product landing page.

Finishing Up

After setting up one ad group, duplicate it nine times for a total of ten ad groups within the campaign. Ensure all settings remain consistent across duplicated groups.

Strategy and Rules

  1. Run Multiple Campaigns: Ideally, run five CBOs with $ 50 daily budgets each, containing 10 ad groups per campaign.
  2. Budget Considerations: If budget is limited, start with fewer CBOs but aim for five.
  3. Break-even ROAS: Use a calculator (link in the description) to determine your break-even ROAS. Understanding this helps you know when your ads are profitable.
