The Best Measuring Kitchen Tool Ever

The Best Measuring Kitchen Tool Ever?

This is an all-in-one measuring cube that's supposed to replace all your measuring cups and spoons in your kitchen.

It's marketed as a space-saving cube, so I decided to test its effectiveness on three commonly measured items:

  1. A cup of water
  2. Flour
  3. Spices

Testing with Water

You can pour directly into the cube, seeing multiple volumes like one cup and half a cup. However, accuracy is somewhat compromised as I ended up splashing water all over, though it's pretty accurate overall.

Testing with Flour

Next, I tried measuring half a cup of flour. It was challenging to scoop the flour into the cube directly. Unlike my measuring spoons, which are easy to scoop in, the cube tends to waste a lot of flour because it catches on the sides. I had to use a spoon to transfer flour into the cube, which somewhat defeats the purpose.

Testing with Spices

Let's see if it can replace my measuring spoons for spices. Often, even the measuring spoons can't fit into the spice jar, but mostly they do. The cube, however, can't be dipped into the jar at all. I had to pour spices into the cube, which was tedious. It includes measurements like a quarter teaspoon, half teaspoon, and tablespoon. While it's doable, I don't think I'd ever use this tool for spices.

Conclusion

Overall, I’m not impressed with the all-in-one measuring cube. While it might save a bit of space, it falls short in practicality. Rating: 5 out of 10.
