My Updated TikTok Ad Strategy For Dropshipping


Introduction

Today, we'll be covering my TikTok ad strategy for dropshipping. This is my personal method, which I also teach to my students. It's incredibly easy to set up, budget-friendly, and can be scaled up to $ 5K per day, and in some cases even up to $ 24K in 24 hours.


Preparation Before Launching TikTok Ads

Before launching TikTok ads, there are three crucial steps:

  1. Find a winning product.
  2. Develop a high-conversion landing page.
  3. Create five ad creatives for the TikTok campaign.

For this example, we will be selling a lung trainer to improve endurance. Searching "lung trainer" on TikTok displays several related videos. We found the product on AliExpress, which costs $ 2 plus shipping, totaling about $ 6.


Creating The Online Store

We used the Pre-built 2.0 theme, automated with chat GPT, for our store setup. This theme is available in my premium Discord group linked in the description below.


Ad Creatives

When it's time to upload the ad creatives into TikTok, there are three different methods to create these ads, which will be covered later.


Setting Up The TikTok Ads Manager

  1. Create Campaign:

    • Click on "create a campaign" and choose "website conversions."
    • Name the campaign after the product, e.g., "lung trainer test."
    • Ignore other special ad categories, split tests, and campaign budget optimization at this stage.
  2. Ad Group Settings:

    • Name this as "ad group one."
    • Select the pixel for optimization events and choose "complete payment."
    • In "placements," select "manual" and run ads only on TikTok.
    • Turn off user comments, video downloading, and video sharing to avoid unnecessary distractions.
  3. Targeting:

    • Target the USA, UK, Canada, or other suitable countries.
    • Leave the language, gender, and age settings default (18+).
    • Set the budget to $ 20 per ad group, totaling $ 100 for the entire campaign.
    • Schedule the ad to start the next day at midnight and select the "lowest cost" option for bidding and optimization.
  4. Upload Ad Creatives:

    • Upload one video at this stage and enter a straightforward text like "get 50% off today only."
    • Preview the ad to ensure everything works.
    • Repeat the process by creating four duplicates of the ad group and uploading a different video into each one.

Using Minia for Product Research

Minia is an excellent tool for product research, offering insights into Facebook ads, Pinterest ads, and TikTok ads. For inspiration, you can view and download successful ads related to your product.


Ad Campaign Management

After running the ads for 24 hours, our ad groups displayed different performances. We turned off ad groups that had zero add-to-carts after spending $ 10. Ad groups showing add-to-carts were kept running, with those providing conversions duplicated and moved to a new CBO.
