In this article, I want to share my journey in starting a brand new dropshipping store from scratch. I created a challenge for myself to see if I could become profitable within 48 hours. Planning the 48-Hour Challenge

The first thing I did was plan out what needed to be done in the next 48 hours so I wouldn’t get lost. My priorities were clear: first, find a winning product; next, build a store; and finally, create engaging ad creatives. Time was of the essence, and I needed to launch my ad campaign by the end of the night to meet my challenge.

Finding a Winning Product

To save time, I opted to use one of my favorite product research tools, AutoDS. I accessed their Marketplace, scrolled through various listings, and pulled data. I also utilized their TikTok and Facebook spy tools to identify trending products that were going viral. After a thorough search, I discovered a multi-functional vegetable chopper that seemed to have great potential.

Building the Store

Once I secured the product, the next step was to build my Shopify store. I started a three-month trial for just $ 1 (which you can access through a link in my description). Using the Dawn theme, I imported images and GIFs of the product, wrote compelling product descriptions, and included supplier reviews for social proof. The store may not have been the most polished, but considering the time constraints, I felt confident it would perform well.

Creating Ad Creatives

It was nearing 10 PM, and I needed to set up my advertising campaign. I typically prefer TikTok ads due to my experience, so I decided to go with that platform. Setting up a broad campaign, I included catchy call-to-actions like "Flash Sale" and allocated a daily budget of $ 350.

The Sales Journey

After launching the ads, I went to bed hopeful. The next morning, I checked my phone and was thrilled to see we had already made our first few sales. By mid-day, that number rose to 16 as more orders started coming in. With this unexpected momentum, I increased the ad budget to capitalize on the trend.

Final Results

At the 48-hour mark, I was excited to report that we had made a total of 59 sales, totaling $ 1,158 in revenue. After accounting for costs—$ 180 for product costs and $ 400 for ads—I calculated a profit of approximately $ 580. I was shocked at how quickly we became profitable!
