I Started A TikTok Theme Page From Scratch (5 Day Results Inside - Episode 1)

Everyone is talking about the TikTok Creativity Program right now and how you can use it to make a lot of money. The TikTok Creativity Program Beta allows users to monetize their content, and in just two weeks, I've already made seven dollars. Inspired by this, I've decided to try and make money with the TikTok Creativity Program starting from scratch on a fresh account. I will use no money to build this page, and I'll document the whole journey as a series on this YouTube channel to see if it really is a valuable side hustle business.

The two goals I've set for this series are:

  1. Get to 50,000 followers.
  2. Make at least $ 500 with the Creativity Program.

Step 1: Picking a Niche

When considering various niches for making money through the TikTok Creativity Program, some of the main ones I evaluated included:

  • Streamers with gameplay clips.
  • Reddit stories with Minecraft or Subway Surfers in the background.
  • Conspiracy theory pages.
  • Motivational pages.

I decided to go with the motivational niche for several reasons:

  1. Higher CPM, which means I can get paid more.
  2. It's a niche I've had experience in and am interested in, making it easier for me to be consistent.
  3. Motivational pages have been performing well recently.

With a niche selected, the next step is to create a name.

Creating a Name

When creating a name, I prefer something memorable with a bit of a ring to it, avoiding too many dots or underscores. To find inspiration and generate a name, I used ChatGPT, which suggested some names. Eventually, I settled on "Motivation Motive," but because it was taken, I added "The" in front of it to become "The Motivation Motive."

I then created a separate Gmail account for this TikTok page. For additional protection, I secured the name on Instagram as well, using "The Motivation Motive" with an underscore.

Next, I Googled "TMM logo," found a stock logo, downloaded it, and uploaded it to my profile. This logo made my page look more professional. I then added a bio: "Daily motivational videos to help you reach your goals. ? 1/50,000 winners," making the page inviting and creating a sense of community.

Step 2: Creating Content

In the motivational niche, I decided to focus on creating content with speakers like Goggins, set to motivational music and edited using CapCut. My initial strategy involves a mix of content types:

  • One-minute long videos from podcasts or speeches.
  • Slideshows to attract followers.

The main goal is to reach 10K followers to apply for the TikTok Creativity Program. Here's an example of a video I made in CapCut showcasing the kind of motivational videos I'll be creating.

Curating Content

To ensure my feed is filled with relevant content, I interact with similar content. This involves:

  1. Liking and sharing videos that are similar to my niche.
  2. Searching for motivational pages and interacting with their content.

This strategy helps me get video ideas, find the right clips, music, and gain insights into what's working in my niche.

Progress and Future Steps

In just five days, I've grown to 12K followers, mainly from one viral video. I've applied for the Creativity Program, which takes about three days for approval. This quick growth is exciting, but there's still much work to be done to reach 50K followers and $ 500 in earnings.

In future episodes, I'll delve into more aspects of running the page and different ways to monetize it. Another rule for this series is not to promote this TikTok page using my other platforms.
