I got scammed by a TikTok business…

A month ago, I ordered one of these famous screen protectors for my phone from Magic John. To my surprise, I never received any shipping updates or tracking information. Fast forward to today, something finally showed up at my doorstep. However, the package looked significantly different from the ones I’ve seen other Magic John customers unbox online.

After a bit of investigation, I realized that there are hundreds of Magic John TikTok Pages, and many of them have been exposed as fake. When I initially made my purchase, I simply Googled "Magic John" and clicked on the first result, assuming it was safe. Apparently, it wasn’t—it seems I bought from a dropshipper who created a fake website using the Magic John brand to sell who-knows-what.

Shockingly, this dropshipper managed to secure the top spot on Google, which is both impressive and alarming. When I finally opened the package, it was clear that packaging and presentation were not a priority. The item came wrapped in a foul-smelling piece of Styrofoam, and there was no box or proper wrapping whatsoever.

I plan to test this fake Magic John screen protector soon. Who knows, it might actually be good. Stay tuned!
