Introduction

Hey everyone! Welcome back to my YouTube channel. It’s been way too long since I last filmed a video, and I am beyond excited to be back. Many of you probably follow me on TikTok, but if you don’t, you should definitely check me out there. I post multiple videos daily and absolutely love it!

In today’s video, I’ll be sharing about my jewelry business and the exciting launch we had just yesterday. We released a ton of new jewelry, including bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and much more. Today is all about packaging these orders, and many of you loved my previous packaging videos, so I thought I’d show you my updated packaging routine and give you an insight into what it looks like behind the scenes after a big launch.

Let’s get started! I have about 75 to 100 orders to pack, so it’s going to be a busy day.

Packaging Setup

This is where the magic happens: my packaging area! If you’ve watched any of my previous videos or followed my journey, you’ve seen this space, but it looks a little different now. I've cleared out a lot of the clothing items to make room for the jewelry. Right now, I have a board set up where I store everything, and I’m excited to announce that I’ll be including a free piece of jewelry with every order going forward. These freebies mostly consist of discontinued items or overstock that I no longer sell.

I already have all of the shipping labels printed; that’s usually where the bulk of the time goes. Now, I’m ready to start grabbing items for each order. I always process the oldest orders first, so let’s dive in!

Order Packing Process

Let’s take a look at the first order: it’s for two ear cuffs. I quickly grab the items from my sorted containers and prepare to pack them. I love that I've developed a better organization system since my last packaging video, which helps streamline the entire process.

For example, this next order includes a bunch of bracelets! I’ll grab the Patano, Gilded Pink, Trope bracelet, and a couple of Stringless ones. Once I collect all the items for an order, I just stack them up to make the packing go faster.

Once I’ve sorted everything, I'll come back on camera to show you what the actual packaging process looks like.

Actual Packaging

So now that I have the items sorted, let’s start packaging!

For the first order, I’ll show you how I pack the little bow earrings, which were one of our best-selling items from the new launch. First, I take the earrings and place them on custom backing cards that I designed using Canva. These cards were made affordable through Vista Print, and I love how they look.

After that, I grab a cellophane bag (easier and more eco-friendly than reusable bags), and I’ll add my signature star glitter to make it cute. As part of my new freebie initiative, I’ll toss in a pair of butterfly earrings for this customer. I then insert a small business card with their receipt, and voilà, the order is ready to go!

Packaging can become somewhat repetitive; I’ve shared in the past that it's my least favorite part of the business – not because I don’t enjoy it, but because after so many packages, it becomes a little mundane.

Regarding the future, many of you have asked what I plan to do about my business while I head off to college. I’m going to the University of Florida, and my parents have kindly agreed to help package orders while I focus on social media and other aspects of the business.

I hand-make some of the jewelry, so each order needs special attention. If you ever receive an order that is incorrect or damaged, just send me an email, and I will resolve it quickly. I’ve even hired my roommate to help manage customer service emails as well!

In this video, I also wanted to show how I package stud earrings. To avoid breakage during shipping, I’ve started using little boxes with sparkles inside, which not only protects the earrings but also looks cute!

With the last order, I showed you how I package chain necklaces by securing them to backing cards to prevent tangling.

That wraps up the packaging section for this video! If you’re interested in seeing more videos like this, let me know! They can be long-winded, commentary-free, or anything in between – I’d love to hear your preferences!

Lastly, I will be vlogging more about my life beyond my jewelry business! Fashion has become a huge part of my identity, and I want to incorporate more lifestyle and hauls in my content.
