I definitely recommend that you use a Creator account. One of the biggest reasons for this is that with a Creator account, you can use all of the most popular music, which can help your video go viral. With a business account, you have to use copyright-approved music, making it much more difficult to make videos go viral. It's not impossible, but in my experience, I definitely prefer the Creator account, and I've tried both.

2. Focus on Providing Value

The biggest challenge people face when starting their business account is that they start talking about their business. People don't care about what you do until they know, like, and trust you. Instead of talking about your business, you need to focus on figuring out how to give value to your target group of people. TikTok is excellent for this.

For example, if you're a car dealership, don't just show new cars all the time. You can find these tips by Googling "top 50 car care tips" and then using tools like ChatGPT to write a short script for you.

4. Consistency is Key

Post one to three videos a day. The more you post, the better your chances. Posting frequently also shows TikTok that you're here for the long haul. Be prepared for your first 50 videos to get some views but then taper off. It's normal. Over time, TikTok will start promoting your content more.

5. Overcome Camera Shyness

One of the hardest parts for most people is being in front of the camera. The more you hit record, the better you will get. Don't be discouraged by your initial attempts.

6. Learn from Competitors

Look at other businesses in your niche and see what their most popular videos are. Most businesses talk about themselves and get almost no views. Instead, look for videos where they provide value because those tend to perform better.

7. Use Hashtags and Descriptions Effectively

In 2024, longer descriptions and the correct use of hashtags have become more important. Use hashtags that match exactly what you're talking about and consider geo-specific hashtags to target a local audience. Every so often, tag your location to let the algorithm know where you are.

8. Just Get Started

The hardest part is getting started. Your first videos will be your worst videos, and that's okay. The longer you do it, the better you will get.
