How to Start TikTok Shop for Beginners

In the past seven days, I've made over $ 77,000 using TikTok Shop, and in this article, I'm going to show you exactly how you can do it too. You don't need to be an influencer with thousands of followers to do this; anyone can do it. I will even show you the products that are making people over $ 10,000 every single month, so all you need to do is copy them and do it for yourself. Just to show I'm not lying, here's a clip of me refreshing my bank account to show that I've received deposits worth over $ 77,000.

Understanding TikTok Shop

To start, let's give a quick explanation as to how TikTok Shop works. Thousands of people create content on TikTok every single day promoting various products. In the past, people used dropshipping or affiliate marketing to make some money on the platform. But now, with TikTok Shop, it's almost as if the two of them have been combined. All you need to do is find a product currently going viral on the app, create content with it, and depending on how many sales you make, you'll earn commissions on every single item sold.

Typically, the commission rates per product vary, but you can expect anywhere between 10% to 30% commission on every product sold. For example, if you sell a product for $ 50, you could potentially be making up to $ 15 per sale. There are other products that you can sell but the commission isn’t always great. For example, I sold this bundle product at a $ 60 price point and 20% commission, which means I earn $ 12 on every unit sold.

Becoming an Affiliate

Now that you understand how TikTok Shop works, you need to become an affiliate. If you want to become an affiliate so you can start selling some products, you're going to need some followers. In the U.S., you need over 5,000 followers, and in the U.K., you need over 1,000. You can also do TikTok Shop in other countries but these are the ones that I have experience with.

Workaround for Requirement

This is by far the most frustrating part of the process, but don't worry, I'm going to show you exactly what to do to get around this:

  1. Use an account that already has the required amount of followers that you might already have.
  2. Grow a page from scratch related to the products you want to sell.
  3. Buy an account from somebody else (you can check the link in the description of the original video for further details).

  • Have a medium-to-high price point

Using TikTok Provided Data

One way is to use the information that TikTok provides. For example, you can check today's deal on the TikTok Shop page to see which products are trending.

Analyzing Influencers

You can also look at popular influencers who mainly promote TikTok shop products. For example, Tai Buggy and Emily's World are some of the influencers I follow to get trending products.

Creating Effective Content

There is a lot that goes into making content on TikTok. When a piece of content goes viral on TikTok, it's not an accident. There's actually a process that I go through every time to ensure that the videos go viral.

The Burner Method

  1. Make a brand new TikTok account and only interact with videos in your niche.
  2. Save the best-performing videos and those that stand out to you.
  3. Recreate those videos by writing out their scripts, comparing them, and creating "Frankenstein" scripts (combining the best parts).
  4. Film your videos, keeping the setting similar to the original viral videos.
