A Week Running My Small Business packing sale orders, new cat tree, decoden, vlogmas pt 1

Introduction

It's Vlogmas Week One! I kicked things off with a cup of coffee and some quick meal prep in my air fryer. I decided to engage in Vlogmas because I’ve been missing the casual vlogging vibe, and thought that daily vlogs might help me feel more relaxed and inspired. The goal is to capture my daily activities and perhaps motivate myself to venture out and try new things.

Today started with a not-so-fancy, but functional breakfast - half-eaten toast, leftover chicken tenders, and some french fries with ranch. While I don't have a particularly busy schedule today, it looks full! I need to edit a reel, pack my sale orders, and later, I’m looking forward to having my friend May over to celebrate her birthday. Excitingly, she moved away from Vegas six months ago and this is her first visit back.

Before diving back into work, I took a moment to enjoy the stunning mountain view outside my window, which was an amazing distraction from the tasks ahead.

Later in the day, after some productive phone calls with friends, I unboxed a much-anticipated cat tree that I didn’t originally plan to buy. I felt compelled to provide a perch for my cat, Pry, who enjoys looking out the window. The assembly process was simple, but Pry immediately gravitated toward the ledges and seemed curious yet skeptical.

After some amusing interactions involving assembling the cat tree and advising my friend on making decoden crafts (decorating phone cases with charm and cuteness), I received a lovely package from Ashley. It contained adorable holiday-themed scarves for Pry, which I couldn’t wait to try on her.

One of my tasks today also involved doing routine maintenance on my house, where I had to replace the air filters – a necessary but sometimes overlooked chore of homeownership. Living in a house gives me a sense of accomplishment, akin to playing Animal Crossing, where there are always maintenance tasks to tackle.

In the midst of this chaotic but satisfying day, I noted a surge in orders for my tote purses, which made me grateful for my supportive customers. Fueled by an undeniable coffee addiction, I headed to the cafe for a cookie butter chai latte and was pleasantly surprised with a holiday-themed surprise package delighting both me and my cat.

As evening approached, I prepped some delicious snacks for Pry while filling her food supply with her favorites. She seemed to enjoy them thoroughly. It always makes my day to spoil my furry friend and ensure she has what she needs.
