Tick Tock very sneakily just came out with a brand new feature inside of their TikTok Creative Center and as I went through and looked at this feature, my mind was blown at the amount of data that TikTok was giving us. I didn't think this would be data that would ever be shared with advertisers or people looking to run ads on TikTok. We're going to go over that feature today in this article. Spoiler alert, it is the tab up here: the top products.

You can see it has this little new feature right here and if you are curious about what the top products tab is for, it's to find top products inside of TikTok. This is a very powerful tool and I'll be telling you everything you need to know about it in this article, so let's jump in.

Step-by-Step Guide

The first thing you're going to want to do is come to TikTok Creative Center (I'll leave a link to this down below in case you need it). If you're not familiar with TikTok Creative Center, I've covered videos on all these other features inside of here that you can check out down below as well, but for this article, we’ll specifically be talking about this new top products feature, which is pretty crazy.

Exploring Top Products

You can see this says "Explore Top Products on TikTok" right here. Discover winning products in your region and category. Not only does this give us data to find top products that are currently selling on TikTok if you wanted to start a new e-commerce store, but it also gives you an opportunity to see the performance of ads that are similar to your category as well. Let me give you a lay of the land here:

  1. Regions: You can choose your region, whatever it may be, or you can just search inside there. For this example, we're sticking with the United States.

  2. Product Categories: You can choose your product category. If you're interested in seeing just the top products that are currently selling, do not filter this out. These are the top products within TikTok. However, you can filter this by something specific, say Home Improvement, to get data even more granular.

  3. Data Range: There’s also a date range filter allowing you to compare the last seven days, last 30 days, weeks, or even months to get an idea of the trends.

Here are some insights you can garner:

  1. Popularity & Popularity Change: This shows the number of ads currently running for a product similar to this and the popularity change, respectively.
