Finding Winning Products LIVE (TikTok Ads & Drop Shipping Product Research)
Introduction
Hey everyone, it's Nobre here, and I'm back with another exciting video for you. Today, we're diving into something a bit different and fun—an exploration titled Finding a Winner with Me. In this article, I will share my live product research journey using three methods I'm confident will help us discover potential winning products. Make sure you watch the last video where I broke down various product research strategies; I’ll link the thumbnail here for your convenience.
The methods I will be leveraging in this video are the Copycat Method, the Pioneer Method, and I'm also going to attempt to find a Unique Market Opportunity (UMO). Finding a UMO is often quite challenging. Typically, people stumble upon them rather than intentionally discovering them. However, I will do my utmost to unearth one, and if I can't, I promise to film another video focusing solely on finding a UMO.
Method Overview
Before we dive into product hunting, I will explain the criteria I’m using to evaluate potential products:
- Selling Price: Ideally between $ 20 and $ 60.
- Profit Margin: Must be over 50%. For instance, if the product's cost is $ 15, the selling price must be at least $ 30.
- Trends and Gimmicks: Look for products tied to viral trends or that solve specific problems.
- Ad Potential: The product must have unique features that lend well to TikTok advertisements.
I will demonstrate how to navigate platforms like TikTok and AliExpress, searching for products live during this session. After identifying promising products, I’ll input them into a Google Sheet for tracking purposes.
Scrolling TikTok: Copycat Method
To kick things off, I opened TikTok, intending to browse my For You page and search features. I began my journey by searching popular hashtags like "Amazon Must-Haves". This method allows me to discover viral products showcased by other users.
After scrolling for about five minutes, I came across a video that showcased several tech products, achieving a remarkable 8 million likes. This video inspired me with an idea to create a general tech store featuring similar products. This could be a unique marketing angle—creating a TikTok ad that mirrors the successful format of that particular video.
I also stumbled upon a video that highlighted a specific wig brand. The angle was enticing, featuring a seamless fit that looked impressive on camera. I thought this could be a profitable direction, provided we find high-quality wigs to sell.
Next, I discovered a lint shaver highlighted in another TikTok video. This product addresses a common issue with leggings or sweatpants where lint balls accumulate. I believe there’s a specific market for this product among yoga enthusiasts and everyday users.
Transitioning to Pioneer Method
Now, switching gears, we moved on to AliExpress to dig for Pioneer products. This involved sifting through categories to find items priced between $ 5 and $ 25, with a minimum rating of four stars and displayed in the "newest" section. After navigating for a little over 30 minutes, I pinpointed two interesting products:
Spiral Potato Peeler: This nifty product can create spiral-cut potatoes perfect for cooking and serves as an eye-catching TikTok ad by showcasing innovative cooking techniques.
Jar Lid Opener: This product cleverly adheres to the underside of kitchen cabinets. The advertisement would emphasize how it simplifies opening jars—solving a longstanding issue.
Summary of Findings
Copycat Method Products:
- Wigs: Captivating marketing angle focusing on seamless fits.
- Lint Shaver: Helps eliminate lint from clothing, particularly leggings.
Pioneer Method Products:
- Spiral Potato Peeler: Unique cooking presentation angle.
- Jar Lid Opener: Innovative solution for opening jars conveniently.
In conclusion, this product search journey was time-consuming but incredibly fruitful. I encourage you to invest similarly in product research to identify potential winners for your own dropshipping endeavors.
