Fake Tyneside Life Tik Tok Account EXPOSED!

Introduction

Hello everyone, Eddie here from Tyneside Life. It's hard to believe, but I recently discovered that someone has been impersonating me on social media and using my videos—presumably to make money. This is a serious issue, and I need your help to get rid of this impersonator.

The Situation

As many of you know, I started my YouTube channel about three and a half years ago. I don't actively use social media to promote my content. I’m not on Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok; I do have a Facebook account, but I largely use it to follow a few pages that interest me. I’ve always seen social media as having its uses, especially for growing a YouTube channel, but I don’t rely on it.

Just recently, I released a video on my other channel, Eddie Hop, where I discuss how to get a YouTube channel off the ground. Besides focusing on YouTube, I’m also embarking on an Open University BA Honors degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at the age of 58. This new journey is a significant leap for me, and I’m pursuing it for personal interest and self-development instead of employment ambitions.

The Discovery

A few days ago, while attending a football match against Man City, a friend mentioned watching my Amanda Staveley video on TikTok. I was taken aback; I didn't have a TikTok account and didn’t even know how to use one. We checked it out, and to my astonishment, there it was—a Tyneside Life account on TikTok featuring my profile picture and my videos. It seems my content is being trimmed into smaller clips and posted there, with some potentially being monetized.

How You Can Help

To combat this impersonation, I enlisted the help of someone familiar with TikTok. If you want to help me, please take a moment to report the fraudulent account.

  1. Find the Tyneside Life account on TikTok.
  2. Click the report button located in the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Select the option to report an account, and choose "somebody's impersonating me."
  4. If prompted for an account number, you can opt for the fraud option instead.

It’s essential to report this account as fraud. If enough of you come together to report it, we can hopefully get this impersonator removed. Remember, if you see content claiming to be me on platforms like Twitter, Instagram, or TikTok, it isn't me—I only operate on YouTube.

Thank you so much for your support, and if you are interested in self-improvement and learning more, don’t forget to check out my other channel.
