Day 14 - Daily Dropshipping Diary (How Much Did I Make in the Last 14 Days )

Introduction

Yesterday was an encouraging day for my dropshipping journey. I almost reached €150 in revenue, which is a positive sign of growth. To break it down further, I ran six ads that resulted in five reach checkouts and four sessions converting into sales. Notably, one potential customer went to the checkout but didn’t complete the purchase. To engage this customer, I sent an email with an enticing offer, and I was thrilled to see them return, resulting in a completed sale.

In terms of expenses, I spent around €90 on advertising through Meta platforms. From this, I had four purchases from my store, each averaging €10, totaling €40 in sales. This brings my profit for the day to a modest €20. While it isn’t a massive profit, I am grateful to see any positive returns, reinforcing my motivation.

A few viewers posed an interesting question: "How much have I earned in the last 15 or 14 days?" I decided to include today in my calculations and was surprised by the results. Over the past 15 days, I've generated a total revenue of €1,700, with the site attracting 2,716 visitors. The average order value currently stands at €44.62, with an impressive 87 add-to-carts resulting in 55 reached checkouts and 37 successful purchases. This equates to a staggering total of €17,570 in sales, a figure that is undeniably significant within this short timeframe.

However, with success comes costs. The majority of my advertising budget has been allocated to TikTok, amounting to approximately €1,000. This translates into a profit margin that is somewhat less than €700 so far. Additionally, I have invested €230 into ads through Meta (Facebook and Instagram) over the past 15 days, despite using these channels only for about four days.

All of this brings my total ad expenditure to €1,227.75. Furthermore, considering the fulfillment costs—approximately €10 per item—I incurred an additional €370 in shipping and product acquisition for 37 purchases. That leads to a combined total of €1,645 in costs, and when I crunch the numbers, I find that I've only made roughly €60 in profit. It's important to note that this figure doesn't even account for Shopify's fees or taxes, which means the reality may be more of a loss than a profit for the past 15 days.

While some days yield solid results, others can be quite challenging. However, the product I'm currently selling shows promise, and I genuinely believe it could be a potential gold mine. This is why testing a product over several days is crucial; if sales continue to rise, it might be time to consider scaling operations.

Reflecting on my journey over the last 15 days, the profit margin isn’t as substantial as I had hoped. This situation has prompted me to explore organic dropshipping methods more extensively. Imagine achieving equivalent sales without incurring advertising costs; it could lead to much higher profits—potentially exceeding €1,200 if managed correctly. It’s wishful thinking, but we all aspire for greater success.

That's it for today on Day 14. Tune in tomorrow for Day 15, and if you're enjoying this journey, please consider subscribing to my updates!
