Which Makes Me More Money Amazon Influencer Program or TikTok Shop Affiliate Program?

Introduction

This is probably going to be one of the shortest videos I've ever done on my channel. Not counting shorts, of course. No fluff, just numbers. Please let me know in the comments if you're okay with quick update videos like this or if you'd rather me pack as much educational content as I can into each video. Anyway, let me know your thoughts in the comments and let's just get started. Should we get on with it then?

So, I recently quit my lucrative corporate job in order to sit at home in my pajamas, rarely venturing outside to see the sunlight. Alright, I'm being a little dramatic, but that first part is true. I've been super lucky to find multiple ways to make money from home. In today’s video, I'm going to talk about two of the programs specifically that have allowed me to pay my bills and actually enjoy the process as well. Unlike a traditional job, these jobs don’t suck.

I will probably do a video very soon to talk about all my different income streams, so make sure you subscribe if you don't want to miss that. But in today's video, we are going to discuss just two of the main ones. If you're a regular viewer of my channel, you’re probably guessing already. Those programs are the Amazon Influencer Program and the TikTok Shop Affiliate Program.

Both of these programs are quite similar, so which one actually makes me more money? In today's video, we're going to find out. If you're interested in more details about each of these programs, I have playlists on my channel for each one, with hours of absolutely free content. Pretty much everything I know and everything I'm testing, working, and not working for me, it’s all there, so feel free to dig through those at your convenience.

Let’s get into the numbers

These amounts change dramatically from month to month, so depending on the date, the stats are all over the place. This is just for entertainment and for some fun math. Let’s just look at how much money each one of these made me in a specific time frame.

Amazon Influencer Program

If I pull data from the 15th of February to the 15th of March, you'll see that I made just over $ 2,000, which is really awesome, especially when you know how little work I did in this program during that time. If you saw my “How Much I Earned in the Amazon Influencer Program” video that I put out at the beginning of the month, you’ll know that I only did nine video reviews. So, I put in probably an hour or two worth of work into this program last month and was still able to make $ 2,000 in that time frame, which is kind of amazing if you think about it.

This income is passive in this program. You do the work once, and even months later, you can still earn from it.

$ 2,000 times 12 months is a $ 24,000 a year business sitting in my pajamas doing simple review videos. Not too bad, right? Again, those numbers fluctuate greatly. In December, I might make $ 6,000; in February, I might make $ 2,000. Looking at it over a specific time frame like this is sometimes not revealing, but it’s fun, right?

TikTok Shop Affiliate Program

Now, let's move on to the TikTok Shop Affiliate Program. How much money was I able to make in that same time frame on TikTok? During those same date ranges, I made $ 3.1k. I’m really annoyed that TikTok's reporting just rounds up and doesn’t show the exact number, but let’s round it up to $ 3,100 in that same time frame.

I did a bit more work on TikTok last month than I did on the Amazon Influencer Program because the program was new, I was trying to learn it, and it was exciting. So, I put more effort into that program, which makes sense why I made a bit more there.

$ 3,100 times 12 months is a $ 37,200 a year business uploading simple little videos to TikTok. That's pretty amazing, right?

Combined Earnings

Now, let’s add both up: $ 2,000 on Amazon plus $ 3,100 on TikTok equals $ 5,100. If those two programs continued at that pace with no changes, $ 5,100 a month times 12 months is just over $ 61,000. So, that’s essentially a $ 61,000 a year business based on probably my worst months right now. Hopefully, those numbers will get better.

A $ 61,000 per year business doing pretty simple review videos, uploading those review videos to Amazon and TikTok, to me, is outrageous and amazing. I know I might overstate or exaggerate how great a business opportunity is, and that’s what we YouTubers kind of do because it gets clicks and views, but still, $ 61,000 a year sitting in my pajamas.

That is a far cry from what I was making in the corporate world, but still, I really enjoyed making the money here rather than going into a cubicle or office every day from 8 to 5. I couldn't be happier with that.

I'm super excited about that and will continue testing these programs and reporting back on what is working and how much I'm making. If you are into this, please do all those things you're supposed to do to help the channel grow, and I'll see you in the next one.
