What It’s Like to Sell on TikTok Shop

One of the funniest aspects of being a decent seller on TikTok Shop is dealing with the sheer volume of requests and direct messages (DMs) I receive on a daily basis. It seems like the drop shippers in China have gotten smarter about how they approach sellers. Instead of changing their profile picture to beautiful women in hopes of catching people's attention, they flood me with around 150 requests every single day to sell their products on my shop. These requests often come with offers of double commission, salaries, and other incentives just to promote their products.

To be fair, about 90% of the time, these products have nothing to do with me or my page. For example, I've received countless requests to sell Power Wheels kids' cars, which are completely unrelated to my content.

Pro Tip: If you're ever curious about how much your favorite creator is earning, you can check their showcase tab. This tab will show you exactly how many products they have sold, giving you a rough idea of their earnings. By looking at the top sellers and the commission they make, you can multiply it by the number of items sold to estimate their income.

It seems these Chinese companies discover my information by seeing how many products I've sold. Once they realize I've sold a decent amount, they bombard me with requests to sell their items, like CMOS or mushroom coffee. Despite the flood of requests, I maintain my stance and only shill products I believe in.
