Update Vlog and Giving Tea on Selling in My TikTok Shop! My Seller Review!!

Hey everyone, welcome back! It’s been almost a month, but I’m back with an update video. Before jumping in, please like, comment, and subscribe. Let’s get right into it. I’ve been going through a lot, but I’ve been working hard and staying positive. Things are starting to turn around, and it's getting better, not gonna lie.

One thing that has significantly helped is my enrollment in the TikTok Shop. For those who don't know, TikTok Shop is a new feature where you can tag your products during live sessions and content, allowing TikTok to promote your products more. I’ve been part of this shop for a little over a week now, so here’s my quick review.

Pros and Cons of TikTok Shop

First, I don’t have too many complaints, but I'll address the general concerns people have, which may make some hesitant to start their own TikTok shop.

Reimbursements: When you see products for sale on TikTok, you might notice discounts such as 10% off or even as high as 99% off. Don’t worry about these coupons; TikTok reimburses you for them, ensuring you get the listed price.

Payouts: There's a 15-day payout rule for new TikTok Shop sellers. You don't get paid for the first 15 days until after the customer receives the order. This can be nerve-wracking because TikTok promotes your content more, potentially causing you to sell out quickly but wait on payment to restock your inventory. If you can manage through the initial weeks and get on a regular payment schedule akin to Shopify, you’ll be okay.

Shipping Policy: Another common complaint is the three-business-day shipping rule. If you don’t ship within this period, TikTok will cancel the orders. So, as soon as I get an order, I print the shipping label and ship it out quickly.

What I’ve Been Selling

I recently went live on TikTok and received a significant number of orders which, minus two, I already packed. Here’s what’s been in my grab bags:

  • Sublimation Tumblers and Transfers: You can get 10 transfers in a grab bag for twenty dollars. If you snag a TikTok coupon, it might be as low as fifteen or even ten dollars.
  • Screen Print Transfers:
    • Single Color: My number one seller with various designs, where you get 20 transfers in a grab bag for twenty dollars.
    • Clear Films: These can be applied to cotton, denim, and polycar fabrics.
  • Vinyl Tumbler Wraps: Printed with my Roland BN-20A printer, these wraps are easy to apply as stickers.

Additional Business Ventures

Apart from my TikTok Shop, I’ve been looking into digital products. I’ve dropped a vendor list of my personal vendors for screen print transfers and clear film print transfers. Additionally, I’ve set up Zoom classes to assist followers with setting up their sublimation printers or managing cut lines.

I'm also pre-selling a comprehensive course on starting a business, including digital products tailored to your needs. If there’s something specific you're interested in, let me know, and I’ll try to add it.

New Businesses

I’ve started three new businesses recently:

  1. Affiliate Marketing: This will be connected to my YouTube channel for brand deals and affiliate links.
  2. Clothing Line: Named Simmons Clothing Co, launching this fall, focusing on me and my kids' apparel.
  3. Chris Styles Courses: Offering courses, vendor lists, and Zoom calls.

Plans and Goals

I’m in grind mode, working hard to make a comeback, especially after enduring quite a bit lately. My kids are preparing to go back to school, and it’s been a slow process getting back on track. The TikTok Shop has been a great help, and I’m blessed for this opportunity.

I’ve shipped out numerous orders since joining the TikTok Shop, making it worth the effort. If you can handle the waiting period and quick shipping requirements, it's quite beneficial. I’m continuing to sell grab bags to simplify the process and expedite shipping.

Milestones and Future Content

I’m also close to being monetized on YouTube, needing just a few more watch hours. Once monetized, I’ll be more motivated to push out content. I strongly appreciate everyone who supports me, especially my day-one followers.

My next steps include a detailed review of my Roland BN-20A printer and several tutorials on making gang sheets and adding cut lines for the Roland. Stay tuned for more consistent content—we’ll get through this journey together!
