THIS was a BUMMER! Thrift with me GOODWILL 3 Stores ~ Sourcing RESELL eBay FULL-TIME PROFIT how to

Introduction

Today, I embarked on a thrifting adventure, visiting City Mission and Captain's Treasures to hunt for resale treasures to flip on eBay for a profit. Excitement was in the air as I entered the first store, and after grabbing my lucky cart, I immediately spotted a few promising items.

As I made my way through the aisles, the first item that caught my eye was a beautiful piece priced at $ 5.99. I quickly decided to add that to my cart. Next, I noticed a stunning Fenton glass item. Although it was listed at $ 22, I was drawn to its beauty. Nearby, I discovered a Department 56 pig figurine, but it didn't pique my interest like the Viking glass piece. It was an amber-colored glass item priced at $ 7, which I couldn’t resist.

I also found a satin white vase likely from HomeGoods, but I ultimately decided against it. Then I stumbled upon a whimsical Emma Kelly clown figurine for just $ 2, which I thought would be a great addition. As I continued to browse, I came across some lovely painted silk birds for $ 6, which I decided to buy as they would be easy to ship.

After rummaging through various items, I found something that I thought was a broken wall hanging; they were coasters from the 70s, but since they were damaged, I left them behind. My search also included some clothing, where I found a few viable options since the clothes were only $ 2 each.

While checking out the glassware, I spotted a glowing item that definitely had potential; it was just $ 6 and in excellent condition.

Next, I proceeded to Captain's Treasures with my big cart, where I found a cute elephant-shaped crystal piece from Japan. However, after some thought, I chose to leave it behind. I explored various household items and ended up finding a Fire King bowl with polka dots for $ 10—this one had a potential resale value of around $ 60.

While scanning for more items, I found a cool wavy bowl that intrigued me, but there were no visible markings. I also came across a KitchenAid item priced at $ 4, but upon checking it, I saw food remnants, so I decided to leave it.

Next up, I found a pretty nappy dish for $ 4 that I was happy to add to my haul. Additionally, I looked through some candlesticks that might have been sterling silver priced at $ 3 each, intending to do further research on them later. I excitedly found some Viking glass pieces for only $ 2 each and ended up grabbing six, hoping to leave some for other treasure hunters.

As I continued to sift through the store, I spotted milk glass that I believed was Fenton, priced at $ 2.99, making it an appealing choice for resale in my booth, especially since milk glass has been selling well recently. However, I was also intrigued by a blue dish with a pyramid base, but I chose to move on from that as it seemed to be of lesser value.

In the final moments of my trip, I discovered a heavy, unique fan that seemed to be new and might fetch a good resale price of $ 58, so I decided to grab that as well. I also found a Dorothy Thorpe bowl for $ 2 due to its sterling silver rim, which felt like a score.

My cart was filling up with various items as I made a final inspection for anything hiding in corners. Unfortunately, many items turned out to be disappointments—pieces were broken or not of a suitable quality for resale.

Despite those challenges, I felt excited about some of the treasures I found and looked forward to listing them on eBay for profit, although it was a bummer to see some potential items in less-than-ideal condition.
