Incidentally, this was around the same time that TikTok implemented the Creator Fund. So I was like, "Oh my god, I can sign up for this and I can start making money. Oh my god, that is so cool!"

Wait, wait, wait, if I actually dedicate time to this and do all the stuff right, I could actually make a career out of this. To put it into perspective for you, I made $ 700 that month after my video went viral. But in my mind, I'm like, "An extra $ 700 a month? Oh my god, what can I do with that? I could get a new phone. I could maybe save up and start a business."

And like the wildest thing that got deep into my head was like, maybe I'll actually be able to afford a home on Mackinac Island. These are all of the things that I got really excited about personally in the beginning of my TikTok Creator Fund journey.

So what originally started as me creating content to show you guys my life turned into, "Hey, we're gonna start paying you." I'm like, "Oh my god, I'm starting this relationship with TikTok where I can expect real income."
