The Sad Truth About the Tiktok Creativity Program Beta (CPB)

Introduction

TikTok can be a hard pill to swallow and can be very annoying sometimes if you don't know the right steps to take when you have a problem on the platform. All I can say is that TikTok is not for the weak.

Currently, I’m facing problems with creating new TikTok accounts and also problems with old accounts already in the TikTok creativity program, which I grew from zero followers to 40,000 followers and some to 30,000 followers. Problem 1: New Accounts Can't Follow Other Accounts

I contacted TikTok support, and for the past three days or so, I haven't received any reply yet.

Within the past couple of weeks, I've created about ten accounts, and I’m still facing the same problem of my account not being able to follow other accounts on TikTok. Problem 2: Inaccurate Analytics

Another issue I’m facing is inaccurate analytics. This occurs when you create an account and start posting, but the views you are generating on your videos do not match the analytics shown in your creator tools. This becomes even more annoying as it affects the requirements for the TikTok creativity program beta, which requires getting 1,000 followers and 100,000 views on TikTok in the last 30 days. You also need to be at least 18 years old.

I’ve reached out to TikTok several times regarding this issue but have yet to receive a reply. These malfunctions have made me suspect that creating accounts with a VPN might lead to shadowbanning. I’m still learning and finding ways to resolve this issue. Problem 3: Unable to Target United States Audience

The last problem I’m facing is the inability to target a United States audience for the TikTok creativity program. Despite purchasing a paid VPN and using a USA SIM card in my phone, TikTok is targeting a location labeled "ad."

If you’re unfamiliar, targeting a United States audience increases your RPM to make more money with the TikTok creativity program. In the past seven days, one of my videos generated almost 1.5 million views, and I should be making money off this. However, when you go to the video analytics and select more data, then in the viewers section click on viewers, you can see that most of my views are coming from a location labeled "ad."

This is problematic because TikTok is not specifying where the viewers are actually coming from. Despite having the USA SIM card and VPN turned on, TikTok channels the viewers from the location labeled "ad" after the first hour of posting the video, during which I initially get viewers from the United States. This has become a significant problem for me as I currently have nearly 10 million views on one of my accounts, and all the viewers are coming from this unspecified location.

I’m still finding ways to solve this issue, and by all means, I must get this TikTok money. I have three accounts in the TikTok creativity program, and I grew them without a USA SIM card and VPN turned off. Most of my viewers came from a location close to Ghana. So, I suspect this is why I get views from a location labeled "ad" on TikTok.
