THE ADVENTURES CONTINUE | A Day At Alton Towers, Baking Cookies & I'm Sick Again!
Introduction
Welcome back to my channel and to another exciting vlog! Just a few hours after my last entry, I’ve been busy with family life, medication routines, and, of course, some new ink—my tattoo! I promised to share it with you, so here it is: I recently got a pocket watch representing Avery's birth time at 4:39, alongside a rose that I intend to link to my existing thigh tattoo down the line. The tattoo took longer than expected—nearly 7 hours—but I'm thrilled with the result.
This week marks a whirlwind of family trips as we prepare for a visit up country to see my mom and spend time at Alton Towers. With Eli off to spend time with his dad, I’ve got packing to do for the rest of us: myself, Josh, Avery, Zach, and Marley for a three-night trip. Alton Towers is perfect this time because it has CBeebies Land, which Avery has been eager to visit.
Today, my goal is to pack everyone's clothes and organize all the necessary items and medications, especially for Avery. This routine of packing feels second nature after so many trips! As I get started, I plan on also indulging in some baking. Last week, I saved some cookie dough from a 'failed' baking attempt, and I will have the boys help me roll them into cookies later.
Today’s a lazy day with a pajama dress code since we don’t have any plans; I even outfitted Avery with a comfy dress after a little incident. Things were relatively smooth—Marley has been a bit under the weather, but he’s feeling better now. While I handled some organizing, September holds its challenges with the boys going back to school soon.
Our recent trip to Alton Towers was nothing short of magical. We went with my brother and sister-in-law, and thankfully, the day was filled with joy—no meltdowns or rushing around; just laughter and fun. Avery enjoyed some gentle rides, while the boys tackled the roller coasters, bringing back such great memories. Josh took Avery on some lovely rides, and I even pushed my comfort zone and rode a few coasters myself!
After our day at the theme park, my mom hosted a housewarming party—she moved into her new home earlier this spring—allowing me to catch up with family I hadn’t seen in ages, including a lovely reunion with my former childminder. It’s wonderful to create these connections and memories.
As this charming weekend winds down, I need to turn my focus back to work. I have videos to edit and catch up on housework, including lots of laundry waiting for me, all while preparing for another trip to Cornwall this upcoming weekend to meet my friend’s newborn.
Oh, and before I forget—I recently received a delivery from Wild! They sent refills along with a beautiful new component that I'm obsessed with. If you’re interested in checking them out, I have a 20% discount code available!
Before wrapping up this entry, I just want to mention that I’m currently under the weather with a cold, but am hoping to get better soon. I appreciate you all for joining me in this busy yet delightful family life!
