It’s astonishing how, after all these years, history seems to be repeating itself. Several years ago, when I launched my Charles X Morphe palette, one of my most viewed videos featured me trying out a dupe or knockoff product. Fast forward to now, and it’s happened yet again!

For those who might not know, I recently started my own makeup brand called Painted, and we proudly released our first-ever palette, named the Basic Canvas. But to my dismay, it looks strikingly similar to another product out there.

Conversely, the knockoff’s shades, branded as Conspicuous, Crystal, Red Mud, and Dark, literally crumbled off my arm. The texture resembled nothing more than sidewalk chalk — an absolute disaster!
