Selling 5+ Years Worth of Steam Inventory for Inflation

Selling 5+ Years Worth of Steam Inventory for Inflation

Steam is currently having their biggest sale yet, but what good is a sale if you are dead broke like me? My wallet's coughing up a little bit of lint and cobwebs, but it is that time of the year, so I had to turn to a gold mine I had long since forgotten about—my Steam inventory. I haven't sold a single thing from it in over 5 years.

The Big Sell-Off

The question was: How much could I make in total by selling my Steam items? Over the course of a grueling inventory-cleaning session, I managed to sell 92 items. These included old CS:GO skins, cases, and various other digital goodies that had been gathering virtual dust.

In total, I made this much from my sales. This was probably enough to buy something new during the sale.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

If you're a sharp-eyed sleuth, you might have noticed I actually sold all these items almost exactly a year ago. Now, you may be wondering, how much would this be worth today? Well, if I were to sell everything now, I would have just made $ 8,947 minus whatever tax steam yoinks. It sucks, but that’s the nature of digital goods and inflation.
