Why Now is the Best Time to Start TikTok Ads

Setting Up Your TikTok Ads Campaign

  1. Create Your Account:

    • Once you navigate to the promotional page, press "Create Now" and set up your account.
    • You'll see a dashboard similar to this. Navigate to "Campaign" and press "Create".
  2. Campaign Configuration:

    • Press "Website Conversions".
    • Enable Campaign Budget Optimization (CBO) by toggling it on. This feature lets TikTok spend the budget freely on the best-performing audiences and ad groups.
    • Go with a daily budget. I suggest starting at $ 50, but I usually set it at $ 100 for confidence in the specific product I'm launching.
  3. Select the Pixel:

    • If you don’t have a pixel, press "Create New". Shopify offers an easy setup for TikTok pixels.
    • Select "Complete Payment" because you aim for sales.
  4. Placement and Settings:

    • Under "Select Placements", toggle off everything except TikTok.
    • Turn off commenting and video download.
    • Choose locations like USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK. Most accounts can select only the USA and Canada, so pick those.
    • For age, select 18 and up. Leave gender unrestricted unless your product is gender-specific.
    • Schedule your ad to start at 6:00 AM the following day, and press "Next".

Uploading and Configuring Ad Creatives

  1. Creative Upload:

    • Toggle on the option to upload all your ads at once.
    • Enter your store name and upload your ad videos.
  2. Ad Text:

    • Experiment with different ad texts like "Buy One Get One Today Only" or "Get Yours Today". Check successful ad texts on Pipi Ads and use them as inspiration.
  3. Website URL:

    • Enter your website's URL and press "Submit". Ignore any warnings if you have no sales yet.

Monitoring and Tweaking After Launch

Once your ads are live and set for review (which may take up to 24 hours for new accounts), sit back as TikTok spends your money. Don't make any changes yet; let TikTok find potential buyers.
