Today, I had the pleasure of attending an American Girl event in New York, where I unboxed the highly anticipated 2024 Pink Stardust Holiday Doll featuring the Claudie mold. This event was exciting, albeit limited to just one doll per person, which added a layer of exclusivity to the experience. Upon arriving, I paid a fee of $ 10, which included a goodie bag that contained a Morocco outfit and some chocolates. The atmosphere was buzzing, with fellow enthusiasts eagerly chatting about the dolls. As a doll collector, I was particularly excited to open the Claudie mold, which is one of my favorites due to its sweet appearance.

After carefully detangling her curls, I laid her down to take a closer look at her accessories. The doll comes with a stunning tiara, a chic purse, and a dainty bracelet adorned with light pink crystals, which gives it a glamorous touch. The tiara weighs quite a bit and has an exquisite design, but I noticed it lacks combs for secure placement in her hair—making it a small concern for active play.
Details of the Doll
The doll's gown is a vibrant pink, lined with a limited number of Swarovski crystals that add an element of charm, although I wish there were more. The fabric of the dress felt somewhat inexpensive, resembling plastic or tablecloth material, which was disappointing given the high retail price of such collector dolls. The shoes, which are hot pink, have a cute design and are made from a more substantial vinyl material.
Taking a closer look at the doll's face, she embodies the Claudie mold with gorgeous details, including intricate highlighting in her hair and beautiful eye makeup. However, I found the eyebrow design to be less impressive compared to the previous doll I unboxed. The doll’s overall quality feels a bit inconsistent; while the hair and face are stunning, the dress material does not match this standard.
Overall, Miss Claudie is certainly a great addition to any doll collection and will take a special place among my holiday dolls back at my parent's house.
