Subscriptions offer several advantages, such as making it easier to forecast demand. However, the reality is that the scale of our orders is such that very few items are readily available on store shelves. Most of these items require custom manufacturing runs. Consequently, when there are supply chain disruptions, it becomes a significant issue.
The main problem arises because the supply chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If we are missing an item that is part of the basic box, it means we cannot build the basic, Advanced, Pro, or Pro Plus boxes. Essentially, if one item is missing, we cannot assemble any of the boxes, which causes a larger bottleneck in our operations.
At this point, we find ourselves at a standstill, unable to do anything until that one missing item arrives. This halts our entire production process.
